At Java, Casey was shocked to hear that Will and Gwen had parted company with Super Producer Adam. Over at Chez Snyder, Adam told Jade he’d come to say goodbye; he was heading back to L.A. Gwen told Casey about Adam and Jade’s connection and Casey told her to relax. He’d handle it. Meanwhile, Adam and Jade marveled at Gwen being so perfect and having Will “in line,” and then said their good-byes. In the house, Jade sighed to Luke about her (bad) luck with cute boys. Outside, Casey called Adam and urged him to mend fences. “Round two!” Casey announced to Will and Gwen when Adam arrived. Will jumped to Gwen’s defense automatically and Casey pulled him away to let Gwen and Adam talk shop. “I call the shots, no questions asked,” Adam told Gwen. Was she prepared to deal with that? When the baby brothers returned to the table, Gwen told them that she and Adam “know where we stand.”
Dusty asked Lucy to testify for him in court — against Craig. At Memorial, Paul got smoochy with Nurse Meg and they joked about eloping while Craig and Johnny watched from the hall. Once Paul was headed for Java, Craig called Emily. Minutes later, Emily “ran into” Paul and told her all about Craig’s visitation papers. Paul rushed back to Memorial ASAP. Already there, Craig brought Johnny to see Meg. Pseudo-snarky flirtation ensued. Across town, Dusty told Lucy that only prison would stop Craig — “and you’re the person who can put him there.” He brought up Craig kidnapping Peyton List-Lucy and never being charged. Current Lucy observed that Dusty was acting just like her father. (Insert obligatory Elektra Complex joke here.) At Memorial, Craig wanted Meg to tell him all about Johnny’s illness, “because you’re not sentimental and you don’t lie.” Naturally, Paul walked in, barking, “What the hell are you doing here?” (Craig actually covered the baby’s ears.) Meg wasn’t happy at Paul’s overprotective ‘tude. Lucy pointed out that Dusty was treating her like a pawn and then warned him that he was playing into Craig’s hands. “We don’t want to play our trump card too soon,” she advised. Meg wondered if she and Paul could “butt out” of the Craig-Dusty debacle. Not so much, no. Paul said he wouldn’t talk about Craig…if Meg didn’t talk to him. (Yeah, he went there.) At the Lakeview, Craig returned Johnny to Dusty and then Lucy spelled things out: If Craig didn’t drop his custody plans, she’d testify against him for kidnapping her. Meg told Paul it wasn’t his place to boss her around. (Amen, sister!) She stalked off, as he sputtered.
Katie told Mike she’s not pregnant while, in Milltown, Carly told Jack that she and Simon are “strictly business.” So, what was that kiss? “It’s not really your business!” Carly exclaimed. Jack actually responded fairly and the Snyder exes split off like mature adults. “Last night didn’t seem like just business,” Simon said. Carly blasted him for his ill-timed jealousy and assured him that her words weren’t just for Jack’s benefit. Besides, “it wasn’t a unique experience for you, was it?” “Honestly, yeah it was,” he replied, praising her strength. Carly pointed out that he’s a world traveler and she’s got kids. He dismissed that excuse with “You’re still hung up on Jack.” At the cottage, Katie felt devastated and told Mike, “Maybe I’m not supposed to be a mother.” Mike was annoyed by Katie’s histrionics. “We haven’t been married a year.” Children didn’t have to define them! She shooed him off to his meeting, promising, “You’re going to come back to a sane wife.” “I think you’re hung up on him like a fly on flypaper,” Simon continued. “I want to encourage you to fly.” He topped this off with a patented Simon Frasier swooping kiss. (You know the kind.) Carly accused him of still being on the rebound. Why had he come to Oakdale? For Katie. Simon denied that he was still into Katie and slammed out when Carly stuck to her business-only guns. At the cottage, Katie tearfully sifted through a box of old Simon memories (with Malta and wedding flashbacks). “I have to let this go,” she murmured. Jack returned to Milltown, only to hear Carly leaving Simon a heartfelt message about giving their relationship a shot. And as Katie went to trash her box o’ stuff, Simon showed up at the door.
