On the heels of discovering a lump in her breast in the steam room, Lucinda rushed out and Lily and Sierra wondered what was wrong. Lucinda made up an excuse that she had to go to work and blasted her daughters on the way they have lived their lives on her way out. Lucinda met with the doctor and wouldn’t consider the fact she may have cancer. Lucinda’s doctor wanted to schedule a biopsy but Lucinda rushed out and ran right into Meg. Lily couldn’t find Lucinda at World Wide and wondered what she was up to.
Rosanna met Craig at the country club set and reiterated that she didn’t love him and wasn’t going to change her mind about marrying him. Rosanna said she wanted to use Emily to get through to Paul. Rosanna refused to marry Craig again, saying her future was with Paul, and took off to find Emily. Meanwhile, Paul showed up at Susan’s looking for Emily, who was freaking out about lying to her husband. Paul told Emily he didn’t make love to her to try and forget Rosanna, and that both of them were trying to escape bad relationships. “I’m your escape, come escape with me,” whispered Paul as he kissed her. Emily pulled away and felt guilty about hurting Hal. Emily said they couldn’t see each other anymore. Paul told Emily that he feels alive when he’s with her and good about who he is. She pulled him into a kiss just as Rosanna arrived at the door. The door was unlocked so Rosanna let herself in and got an eyeful when she saw a half-dressed Paul and Emily starting to make love on the couch.
Emma told Meg she didn’t blame Meg for her problems with Josh. Luke arrived and revealed Holden was staying at Emma’s. Emma told Meg that Holden and Lily were getting a divorce. (Meanwhile, there’s Meg — AKA actress Marie Wilson — in a Summer’s Eve commercial during the airshow!) Meg pressed Emma for details, then left to drive around Oakdale to see how it’s changed since she left.
At the Lakeview, Jennifer introduced Barbara to her new bodyguard. Barbara told Jennifer and Dusty that they had to get Craig out of their lives once and for all. Dusty said there was no way a judge would let Craig near her baby. Barbara warned Jennifer about listening to Dusty. Dusty introduced Jen’s bodyguard to Craig when he arrived for his meeting with Jessica. Jessica told him that without Rosanna, it would be hard for him to get custody of the baby.
Katie wondered why Mike was in the hotel room and not Henry, then blamed him for destroying her marriage. Mike comforted Katie and said he helped them because he saw how miserable Henry was. Mike thought about leaving but couldn’t leave a sad Katie by herself. They decided to watch a movie in the room together and reminisced about their trip to Montana over microwave popcorn and champagne. Mike fell asleep and Katie leaned in to kiss him just as he woke up.
