Nick was at the strip club and looking for Carly. Meanwhile, Carly was at home and insisting that Jack go into work (so she could go to the strip club). Jack wondered what was going on, and she said she doesn’t want to be the reason he loses another job. Jack told her that she has to stop feeling guilty about it and she finally sweet-talked him into going to work. Jack took off and Carly called a neighbor to watch the kids. Carly showed up for work and blasted Nick for returning her bracelet at her house earlier that day. Chardonnay told Carly that Nick had been asking about her. Carly got a call from the neighbor, who said that her son had a fever so she couldn’t take care of Carly’s kids. Carly said she would come home and asked Chardonnay to cover for her with the manager. Nick saw Carly leave, but then she came back in when she had car problems. Carly told him she had to get home and Nick offered her a ride but she told him no way. Carly couldn’t wait for a cab and took Nick up on his offer but not before he made her apologize for being mean to him earlier. Outside the Snyders’, Nick was wiping off Carly’s makeup as Jack opened up the door.

At Java, Casey pressed Maddie to tell him who all the food was for and apologized for being a jerk earlier. Maddie said she was going on a picnic with Nate — and then Nate showed up. Casey was suspicious when he realized Maddie wasn’t meeting Nate for a date, and Nate was confused too as he thought Maddie didn’t want to see him anymore. Casey went back inside and Maddie sent Nate away. At Metro, Will wondered what was taking Maddie so long to get food, and was freaking out about their situation. Gwen calmed him down with a kiss and said she trusted Maddie. They heard a noise and Will went to check it out but it was just Maddie with supplies. Will thought they weren’t safe there and wanted to leave. Guess he changed his mind, because he and Gwen threw down some blankets to sleep on. Back outside Java, Maddie had a daydream of helping Gwen and Will and being arrested by Margo, until Casey came in and saved the day. Casey brought her back to reality when he showed up and asked her where her date was. Maddie called Casey on being jealous. Margo arrived and wanted to know what Maddie knew about Gwen and Will. Maddie said she was up on the roof that Gwen and Will frequent and she found bus departures circled on a schedule and evidence that they had been there. Margo went off to follow up. Casey wondered what was up, but Maddie just said she was doing the right thing.

At Java, Mike met up with Katie, who was busy with wedding preparations. He then dropped the bombshell that they won’t be getting married in April. Mike said he has to leave town right away because his brother Mark needs help on a development project in Latvia. Mike told her it was a way to make money for the wedding and reassured her that the wedding was going to happen. Katie relented — then said she was going with him. Mike told her he was going to be working, so she should stay in Oakdale. Mike then knocked over a bride and groom cake topper, and the groom’s head broke off. Katie feared they had jinxed themselves, but Mike promised her they would have a beautiful wedding. Katie lamented being in their house alone — then Mike told her that Nick would be in the house to keep her company.

Back at the Wagon Wheel, a disguised Paul panicked when Margo and the Oakdale PD knocked on the door. The manager tried to stop her but Paul was forced to open the door because they were searching for Will and Gwen. When shown their pictures, Paul said he hadn’t seen them. Paul coughed and Margo offered to take him to the hospital to see Dr. Bob. Paul told her he was okay and she left. Maddie called Margo about Gwen and Will, and Paul overheard Margo taking the call in the hallway.

Jennifer invited Madame Lacoste into her room and asked her what she meant when she said her grief for her brother was misguided. Madame Lacoste said she needed to make peace with her brother — and that it wasn’t too late and she could help her. Dusty showed up and while he went into the other room, Madame Lacoste gave Jennifer her card and Jennifer realized she was a psychic and told her to go. Dusty came back out with Johnny and realized something was wrong. Jennifer wished she had a second chance to make things right with Paul. Dusty said she shouldn’t feel guilty and he won’t let Paul keep them apart. Jennifer then had a nightmare that Paul showed up and needed to hear that Jennifer forgave him. Jennifer didn’t know if she could so Paul pulled out a gun and shot himself. Jennifer awoke and was shaken, so she dug the psychic’s number out of the garbage. Dusty wondered what was wrong and Jen hid the number and said she had a headache. He left to get her some aspirin and she called Madame Lacoste and invited her to come back over. Lacoste then hung up the phone and it was revealed she was with Paul. She told him that Jennifer had taken the bait.
