Nick showed up at Carly’s to pick up his phone and revealed he had a gift. Carly told Nick she was not available and Nick said the gift was for Sage. It was a bracelet with bells on it, so Carly could find her when Sage gets lost. Carly broke down and thanked Nick. Nick assured Carly he wouldn’t cross that line again and she apologized for jumping to the wrong conclusion. Sage came downstairs and Nick gave her the bracelet. Nick said he did want something from Carly — he just hoped she could now cut him a little slack. She agreed, and she and Sage walked Nick out, just missing Jack’s call.

Katie and Mike invited Jack over to tell him about the skeleton in his basement. Mike explained the story about how he buried stolen jewels in the basement of his house (which is now Jack’s house), and went back to find them after Oakdale Confidential came out and found a body instead. Jack freaked when Mike said he put the skeleton back into the wall and sealed it up. Katie maintained they just wanted to return the jewels and insisted Mike didn’t kill anyone. Jack said they had to dig the body out of the basement and he was the best cop to take care of this. Katie vowed to help Mike through everything and Jack commended them for sharing their problems with each other. Jack, Katie and Mike went down to the basement and Jack started to break down the wall. Carly returned, heard something in the basement and called out. Katie went upstairs to distract Carly but she ran downstairs anyway. Carly asked them what they were doing. Mike said it was police business and Katie would explain everything upstairs. Carly started screaming and hit the wall, causing the skeleton to fall out. She then fainted in Jack’s arms.

At the police station, Meg overheard Henry taking care of a ticket and he tried to rush off when she confronted him about the bloody clothes in her car. Henry said he didn’t do it and declared he wasn’t even hanging out with Emily any more, then took off as fast as he could. At the penthouse, Emily couldn’t believe her ears when Jennifer said she had spoken to Dusty. She reported that Dusty had been kidnapped and had gotten away, but their phone call had been cut off and the police were tracing the call. Emily told Jennifer that Paul wasn’t home but she would give him the message. Paul returned to the room and asked Emily who called. Emily covered and said she had to leave. Meanwhile, Hal found Jennifer at the Lakeview and wondered what she was so happy about. Margo arrived to talk to Hal and Jennifer ran out. Paul got Jen’s text message asking him to give her 15 minutes, so he tried to stall Emily. Paul begged Emily to tell him what was wrong and acted upset that she didn’t trust him. Emily reassured him and revealed that Jennifer called with news on Dusty but she didn’t want that to interrupt their evening together. Paul said they could check on Jennifer together. Emily changed her mind and said she would take a nap while Paul went to talk to his sister. Paul answered that he would rather stay there and have champagne with her. Emily panicked, went out on the terrace and called Henry, begging him to distract Paul so she could slip away. Henry refused so Emily knocked Paul out with a flower pot. Emily took off, with Jennifer on her tail. A frantic Emily found Dusty still tied up at the farmhouse and realized Paul and Jennifer were on to her. Paul came to and called Jennifer, who had followed Emily to the abandoned farmhouse. Paul warned Jennifer to be careful and then their cell phone connection was lost. Jennifer tried to call him back, leaving him a message that she was going inside the house. Emily cleaned up the room while Dusty told her she should just let him go. She refused, cut the duct tape that tied him to the chair and with a gun pointed at him, demanded that he walk into another room. Jennifer walked into the house and called out. Emily whispered to Dusty that if he made one sound, she’d kill him and Jennifer.

Hal told Margo that he thinks Henry (who was at the Lakeview bar at this point) could be involved with Emily somehow and knows that Tom questioned Emily in Dusty’s appearance. Hal defended Emily to Margo, but she maintained that Emily has hurt a lot of people, including her and her family. Hal and Margo took off, while Henry drowned his sorrows with the bartender. Paul showed up, grabbed Henry and demanded to know where Emily was. Paul got rough with Henry and threatened him. The police showed up and Paul was arrested for harassing Henry.
