Apprentice 3 Update #8

Comments

It was a rockin’ and rappin’ experience for both APPRENTICE teams in the March 10 episode, as Mr. Trump had them produce a music celebrity auction for the Fuse network, benefiting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

But first, musical chairs — it was time for a corporate restructuring. Magna Project Manager Kendra gladly sent Stephanie and Erin to Net Worth. Kendra’s new members, Craig and Tana (dumped by Net Worth PM Chris), did an excellent job persuading five musicians (including techno star Moby at his Manhattan cafè Teany) to offer major experiences to online bidders. Moby and rapper Lil’ Kim offered to spend a full week with the winners.
John might be a superb businessman, but he was not a successful negotiator, not starting high, interrupting his NW colleagues and not drumming up much excitement. KISS frontman Gene Simmons was far from floored and gave up an invite to his CD release party, and two bands tossed in the standard “perform at the winner’s home” prize. (Simple Plan in your condo!) Magna blasted Net Worth off the stage, earning $10,000 more in their lively on-air auction.
Chris brought Erin (a smashing success on live TV!) and “pimp” (his term, not ours) John with him into the boardroom, and after The Donald made a couple of tension-easing jokes, he made sure John had his last words as a candidate: “Thank you, Mr. Trump.” A phrase probably echoed by many annoyed-by-John viewers.

Five people remain in Magna (where winning PM Kendra happens to be the last original woman), and four in Net Worth (where Chris is the sole original guy). Check this space next Friday, March 25, for the latest scoop on NBC’s hit reality show.

SOAP OPERA WEEKLY’s Predictions for the Final Four (two are still in):
Alex: His theology and Latin degrees alone reveal his impressive mind, and his solid speaking — and lobbying — skills will please Trump.

Brian: He’s got the creativity and business acumen, having made a million from selling glow-in-the-dark necklaces.

Kendra: This entrepreneur and talk radio show host may prove to be one of the most resourceful and dedicated players.

Tara: Watch this one — her NYC know-how and heavy management experience should keep her on the successful side.

The dark horses: lively Angie and tough Bren!
