Annie and Ryan grew closer as Spike and Emma played together. Annie couldn’t help but worry about the DNA test she agreed to. When he calmed her down, they both praised each other’s parenting skills. After getting the kiddies to bed, Annie taught Ryan a few parenting tricks. When she wondered why Kendall wasn’t there teaching him these things, Ryan revealed that Kendall couldn’t be a part of his fantasy anymore. The duo grew closer and ended up in each other’s arms, but pulled away before giving into a bedtime kiss.
While preparing for her New Beginnings gala, Erica was surprised when Jack visited her. He had rearranged an appointment in New York so he could be with her for the evening and gave her a beautiful necklace. It was Jack’s turn to be shocked when he discovered Erica had already arranged for another date: Jeff. Meanwhile, Josh escorted Bianca to the gala but was annoyingly glum about being there. When Kendall arrived with Zach, Josh went ballistic. “You think I’m going to party with the man who got away with killing Greg Madden?!” Zach was pleased with Kendall defending him, but Josh didn’t let up on Zach. “You have some nerve criticizing my taste in men when your taste in women sucks,” Kendall blasted and the siblings continued to fight. Erica tried to break it up when she entered (with Jack on one arm and Jeff on the other), but it was special guest Donny Osmond who got them to shut up. “Osmond family get-togethers are nothing like this,” he quipped. Later, Kendall and Zach excused themselves to go look at their new house. Once there, Zach announced he couldn’t live there. Back at the party, Jeff and Josh bonded as they discussed Babe and Erica.
Over at Jack and Erica’s home Sean watched over Lily and piqued her curiosity when he mentioned Jonathan and Amanda. When Amanda arrived, Lily asked her about her feelings for Jonathan. When Amanda said it didn’t matter, Lily grew agitated and accidentally cut her hand. The red blood freaked her out even more but Amanda calmed her enough to get her to the hospital for stitches. After Jack got word of the accident, he left the New Beginnings party to tend to his daughter, meaning Erica was left with Jeff.
Babe was obviously uncomfortable when JR announced Josh claimed he slept with her. “I’m so sorry. I hate this so much,” Babe cried but was shocked (and relieved!) when she learned JR didn’t believe him. Babe proceeded to tap dance around the issue, especially when JR claimed if Josh had truly had an affair with his wife, he would have hurt him. Krystal and Adam interrupted the duo’s conversation with good news: their baby was healthy. JR had his own happy announcement: “Josh Madden is out of our lives.” At the end of the episode, Josh fled Erica’s party and was happy to find Erin. After Krystal and Adam excused themselves, JR asked Babe to call Josh and make it final. “Are you testing me?” Babe wondered. “Should I be?” JR countered. Eventually JR flat out asked her if she slept with Josh. “Yes,” she finally replied meekly.
