In NYC, Lily almost went up to Jonathan, but stopped herself once she saw Aidan was there, too. Jonathan and Aidan spotted her, but a frightened Lily ran away before they could reach her. Jonathan blasted Aidan and demanded that he leave him alone. Meanwhile, Lily went back to her hotel and Terry soon showed up. He calmed her down and assured her that her bus would leave the next morning. Then, he gave her some alcohol so she would feel better. Lily was hesitant, but eventually drank — and got drunk. Back at the library, Jonathan checked his e-mail and found one from Lily. When Aidan demanded to see it, Jonathan knocked him out with a book and proceeded to read the e-mail. Lily sent him a message in code with the whereabouts of her hotel and off he went to find her. Back at the hotel, a drunk Lily collapsed on the bed. She couldn’t sleep with Terry in the room, so he proposed “they do something else.”
Tad comforted Babe at the courthouse and assured her she did the right thing. He easily noticed that she still loved JR. “It’s hard to walk away from the love of your life,” he knowingly said. They both understood how much it hurt when the people they loved changed. Babe was devastated that her husband was lost and wondered if she’d ever be able to make sense of it. “Sometimes, when you love somebody too much, I’m not sure that’s possible,” Tad sighed.
Derek let Dixie into JR’s jail cell. “Talk about cruel and unusual punishment,” groaned JR. Dixie claimed she wasn’t there to apologize; he had every right to be mad at her. What she wanted him to do was face what he did. Kendall and her baby could die because of his actions. She wasn’t going to let him use her return as an excuse for his actions, either. She tried to make him understand that alcohol made him violent. He hurt Amanda, tried to kill Babe and then Dixie admitted she saw him threaten Krystal with a gun while intoxicated. Uh-oh. “You were there spying on me?” JR spat. He said it didn’t matter because no one was hurt, but Dixie had another revelation for him: “You shot me!”
Over at the hospital, Ryan, Julia and Erica realized that Zach had locked himself in with Kendall. He wasn’t letting anyone near his wife or her child. As Zach was petting Kendall’s arm lovingly and assuring her he’d take care of her, Erica reminded Zach they had a court order for the C-section and demanded he opened the door. Through the door, Ryan tried to explain that Kendall would be upset at him, not Zach. None of that mattered to Zach — he was honoring Kendall’s wishes. If Ryan would give him his word that he’d leave Kendall alone, Zach would open the door. Erica asked Ryan to just lie, but Ryan couldn’t do that. While Joe tried to calmly talk sense into Zach, Derek and the police force arrived to handle the situation their own way. When Ryan tried to convince Erica to have Derek back off, La Kane became infuriated. She didn’t understand how Ryan could side with Zach. Derek was left with no choice, he was going to break down the door to get Zach away from Kendall. Coma Kendall freaked when she heard the commotion of the officers trying to break down the door. Zach pulled out a gun and the episode ended with the pistol going off.
