Everyone was furious when Janet claimed to see Dixie at the Mardi Gras Ball — everyone except Di, that is, who is the only person to know Janet’s claims to be true. When JR attacked her, Janet fought back and growled: “Any mother with you for a son would rather stay dead.” This made a devastated JR spin out of control, but Janet stuck by her word that Dix was alive even as Derek was carting her off to prison. After Adam took JR to the hospital to check on Babe and his son, poor Amanda was informed that Trevor was dead. The distraught girl wanted proof so Jamie stood by her side as she discovered Trevor’s body in the freezer. Amanda was inconsolable, and Jamie carried her away. Later, at the hospital, Brooke and Jamie sat by Amanda’s bedside and watched her sleep. Elsewhere, David arrived at Janet’s jail cell and managed to get his hand around her throat. He told Janet there was only one thing that would keep him from killing her: he wanted answers about Dixie.
Back at the cabin, Tad and Di discussed what Janet claimed. Tad shrugged that it didn’t matter. Janet never made any sense and she certainly didn’t when she said Dixie was alive. When Tad saw that Di was spooked and worried about the future, he assured her everything would work out. “If I have anything to say about it, from here on out, you’re going to get everything you want,” he promised. Elsewhere, Zach guided Dixie to a room he had set up for her and when she nearly fainted, he tucked her into bed himself, calling on someone to take a look at her. Zach was informed that Dixie definitely had an infection. Later, Zach told a relieved Dixie that Little Adam and Babe were both okay, then watched her as she slept.
At the hospital, Josh was up to his old tricks and had a camera following him around to document his internship. Erica wanted no part in his latest escapade. She got even more upset when she walked out of her hospital room and saw Dr. Madden feeling Kendall’s baby kick. Erica managed to indiscreetly get Ryan and Kendall to leave her alone with Greg so they could talk about Erica’s hopes Josh would leave town. Later, Kendall informed her worried mother she was going to keep Dr. Madden as her OB/GYN. When Kendall walked out of Erica’s room to speed up her release, she spotted Julia and Ryan talking. Later on, as Erica and Ryan chatted (she warned Ryan to get Kendall away from Greg Madden), Kendall cornered Julia and was stunned when Julia mentioned adopting her baby.
When Babe arrived at the hospital, Josh and Julia worked together to save her life. Krystal was relived to find out Little Adam would be okay, but remained worried about Babe. She refused to hand the baby over to JR once JR and Adam arrived. When the family was informed Babe was doing better, JR immediately walked into her room. When she awoke in a panicked frenzy, JR had to calm her down and assure her the baby was okay. Once she was reunited with her son, she relaxed and was so grateful for their safety. Later, as Krystal and Adam looked on, JR poignantly asked Babe to marry him.
