Erica read the directions accompanying the slow-acting, non-traceable poison she’d ordered from the Internet. When Tad showed up, she covered her activities and asked Tad to dig up more dirt on Dr. Madden. Erica was convinced that there was some way they could use the proper channels to get Madden’s medical license revoked, but Tad insisted he’d already found out everything he could. Tad made it clear to Erica that he understood her desire to protect Kendall from Greg and recommended that she go public with what Greg did to her (La Kane). No way, shuddered Erica.

Greg visited Kendall at the condo and delivered a dossier on the couple he wants to adopt her child. Ryan, who was lying on the couch, was alarmed. Kendall promised to read the info; Greg went on his way. Ryan asked Kendall what was going on, outraged that she would consider giving their baby away to virtual strangers. She reminded Ryan that Greg’s visit was unsolicited, but that she needed a back-up plan in case she doesn’t bond with the baby once it’s born. But Kendall made it rather clear that under no circumstances was Julia Santos getting anywhere near her offspring.

A worked-up Ryan barged into Erica’s house to report that Greg is pushing Kendall to give up her child for adoption. Erica was not surprised to hear that Madden has been manipulating her daughter and promised Ryan that she would take care of it. Lavery took off; Erica then called Greg and, as she fingered the poison, she claimed to be in “desperate need for some reassurance.” He eagerly agreed to come over to her place. When Greg dropped in, Erica wove a tale about how she was worried about Kendall’s condition, then made a big show of her gratitude to Greg when he “put her mind at ease.” La Kane offered Madden some tea. When he accepted, she fixed him a cup … with a special extra ingredient. They toasted to lasting peace.

Kendall went up to the Fusion rooftop to contemplate her options, thinking back to past conversations with Zach, Julia and Ryan. She also thought about her own childhood and adoptive parents, and wondered aloud what was wrong with her that she didn’t feel able to connect with her baby. She then became paralyzed with fear of heights and screamed for help. Zach came to her rescue…. Ryan was concerned when he got home and Kendall wasn’t there.

Josh came by Babe’s hospital room to warn her against marrying JR. JR entered and ordered Josh to leave. Joe defended himself to JR when JR criticized him for hiring Josh; JR then returned to his fiancée’s bedside. Tad stopped by for a visit and they informed him that they’d set their wedding date (March 23). Tad was thrilled. JR made Babe happy by assuring Tad that Di was invited. Later, the soon-to-be-newlyweds were sharing a cuddly moment when Amanda entered…

Zach opened the door to Dixie’s suite and greeted Di, who was startled to learn that Slater and her sister know each other. Di accused Dixie of trying to mess with her head; Dixie countered that Di was selfish to think that everything Dixie does is because of her. Zach left so that the sisters could speak privately. Di asked Dixie why she’d been summoned. After a jab at Di’s romantic involvement with Tad, Dix announced that she’d reached a decision. Di assumed the worst (that Dixie intended to reveal herself to Tad and JR) and expressed that she sincerely appreciated the heads-up. Di reported to Dixie that in the aftermath of the Janet debacle, JR turned a corner, let go of much of his anger and bitterness. Dixie was elated. Di began to clue in to the fact that Dix planned to leave town without divulging that she’s alive, which Dixie confirmed on the grounds that coming back into JR’s life now might undo all the progress he’s made. Dixie also made pointed reference to not being ready to spill the details of where she’s been and why. Di promised Dixie that she’d look out for her loved ones. “That’s all I can ask,” sighed a weepy Dixie…. In the hallway, Tad prepared to knock on the door.

David stormed into Wildwind and told Del that Dixie would love to see him. Del replied that David was crazy, but Doc Hayward wouldn’t relent. Del didn’t do well under David’s pressure but David pretended to buy his story. Once alone, though, David grinned to himself, “See Del tap dance.” When Di came back to Wildwind, David grabbed her and demanded to see Dixie. “No stalling,” he hissed. “I want to see your sister now.”
