Kendall reluctantly left the hospital without Spike, who remained in the incubator. She told Zach that she wanted to go to Fusion. He tried to talk her out of continuing her vendetta against Babe and JR. Kendall insisted to Zach that he help her take down JR.
Erica blew into Tad’s office to beg him to tell Jeff to leave town without telling Josh about their biological relationship. Tad told Erica he didn’t have time to deal with her. Erica kept pushing; Tad snapped and said that if he were Jeff, he’d tell Josh the truth immediately. She sympathized with Tad’s sensitivity about his missing daughter but still wanted him to handle Jeff. Tad refused. After Erica left, Di showed up and railed against Dixie for having deceived the family. Tad defended his ex. Di acknowledged that she can’t know what Tad and Dixie are going through. Tad kissed Di on the cheek before leaving his office, which pleased her.
Jeff ran interference when Josh harangued Julia and Jamie about their nascent relationship. “We all have our secrets,” noted Jeff, who recommended that the trio stay out of the hospital rumor mill. When another nurse harassed Julia about her involvement with Jamie, Jamie stepped in and pretended to be gay to put the kibosh on the nurse’s curiosity. Once alone with Julia, Jamie tried to encourage her not to care what other people think. That was a tough notion for Julia to accept but when Jamie turned to go, she couldn’t let him leave. They shared another kiss.
When Dixie and JR met up at the park, Dix urged her son to appreciate the gift Babe had given to him in court. Zach showed up and told JR to leave so that he could speak to Dixie alone. JR eavesdropped on their chat, learning that Zach had helped Dixie hide in Pine Valley. He also overheard their cryptic conversation about “having to do this” as long as it would take for the one person who could lead them to Kate to come through. After JR left, Zach and Dixie’s discussion continued, and their comments implied that they just might be the ones who buried Greg. Tad then showed up, spying them together.
Erica sat down at Jeff’s table at the yacht club. In a snarky exchange, Erica tried to talk Jeff out of what she assumed he would do (tell Josh the truth). Jeff told Erica that he came back to town to make a decision about his son, not to argue with her. Jack arrived at the yacht club and was none too pleased to see Erica and Jeff together.
At Fusion, Simone, Danielle and Erin gave Babe the cold shoulder. Mrs. Chandler stood up for herself but was genuinely surprised (and offended) when Erin asked Babe if JR was abusing her. Kendall strolled in and joined in the anti-Babe tirade. Babe turned the tables on Kendall, pointing out that she had forgiven Zach for causing the blackout. JR wandered in while Babe and Kendall went at it. JR then took perverse pleasure in revealing to Kendall that Zach had secretly been harboring his mother for months.
