Jamie listened in as Amanda made a tape of herself as host of “AMANDA’S NEW BEGINNINGS.” Josh saw via the camera that Amanda and Jamie were making out in the office. He crowed to himself that he was one step closer to taking down Erica. Josh barged in on Amanda and Jamie and threatened her job, since Amanda was fooling around with Erica’s equipment — and Jamie. Jamie urged Amanda to quit, but she insisted on a minute alone with Josh, so Jamie stepped out. Josh agreed to give Amanda one more chance after she pleaded her case, then blasted her for forgetting to tell Erica about an imminent visit from network exec Jesse Johnson (in actuality, of course, he’d never issued that order to Amanda to begin with). While Josh continued scheming with a fiendish grin, Amanda confessed to Jamie that she’s afraid that she is responsible for all the trouble in Pine Valley, given her frequent blackouts.

At the hospital, Erica announced to Jack and Tad that she had figured out her connection to Greg. The trio failed to figure out what Greg’s agenda with Kendall might be, though they agreed the doc is shady. Jack insisted that he handle Greg from here on out. Greg then entered. “I hear you’re in love with my life,” growled Jack. Greg maintained his innocence, saying it was just a coincidence that Greenlee and Kendall approached him for help. Greg then said it was time for him to tell Erica a few things about Josh, but she refused to hear him out. Greg received final words of warning from Jack, Erica and Tad before walking away. Tad then had a series of flashbacks, which prompted him to develop a new theory about Greg that alarmed him greatly.

With a heavy heart, Ryan went inside the penthouse he’d shared with Greenlee for the first time since she left town. Kendall arrived and pointed out that there’s “a lot of Greenlee around.” Ryan was well aware of that but determined to move back in. Kendall then told Ryan that she was going to have the baby without him. Ryan accused Kendall of wanting him out of the picture because of Zach, which led to a heated argument. Kendall told Ryan not to get in the way of her happiness with Zach. Ryan reluctantly agreed but insisted on staying in town rather than leave to find Greenlee, as that would go against his wife’s wishes. Kendall and Ryan agreed they both miss Greens.

Jonathan left the hospital, trailed by Janet, who continued (despite Mirror Janet’s warnings that it was a bad idea) to do her best to plant doubts in his head as to his innocence in the “Di nearly drowning” situation. After Jon bolted, Janet drove off in a cargo truck.

Adam phoned JR and instructed him to return home. As Babe approached, JR informed Adam that he was where he wanted to be, then hung up. Babe had a surprise for JR that she would only deliver if he apologized for being obnoxious that morning; he complied. They flirted heavily as they assembled the temporary beach shelter she’d purchased. Krystal taunted Adam about how much closer Babe and JR were likely to grow away from Adam’s disapproval. Adam fixed Krystal a cup of tea, which she suspected he’d tainted with poison. Adam rigged a sandbag to fall from the ceiling onto Krystal, but she moved away in time. “You’re desperate,” she seethed. He warned her that this prank was just a taste of things to come. She told Adam that she’d written a note incriminating him should she meet with any sort of foul play. On the beach, JR and Babe’s kiss was interrupted by the collapse of the lightweight shelter they were frolicking under, but they quickly got back to smooching business. Krystal became concerned when she couldn’t find Adam, whose shoes were left behind on the front doorstep. She summoned Palmer to the mansion; he recommended to Krystal that she divorce Adam for her own safety. “I’m fine,” she insisted. Palmer then shocked Krystal with a marriage proposal. Babe and JR agreed that they were happy. “Marry me!” she spontaneously suggested.

Janet dragged Adam’s unconscious body into her truck, where other unconscious passengers — Joe, Opal, Brooke —were napping.
