The Mysterious Woman in Black listened as JR blasted Adam’s hypocrisy, and when JR stormed off she lowered her mask to reveal herself as…Dixie! Meanwhile, in the basement, Janet’s reflection taunted her. On the dance floor, Jonathan babbled to Ryan, who was distracted by Zach professing his love to Kendall. Lily vowed to run away if Jack sends her back to school. JR literally dragged Babe outside by the arm to give her something: His mother’s necklace (shock registered on Dixie’s face). Josh blasted Greg for protecting Erica over his own son, and Greg warned him to leave town. Upstairs, Erica told Tad that Josh isn’t “like a son” to her at all. Tad corrected her: “You’re Josh Madden’s mother.” A shocked Erica dismissed him as drunk, but Tad insisted he was sober. “He’s your blood son.” Erica pointed out “I was there” both times she gave birth — to girls, but Tad insisted he could prove it!
Lily insisted she isn’t “stupid,” and she chooses to be with Jonathan. Babe mulled JR’s necklace, then accepted it. “I want to marry you,” he said. “No more pre-nups, no more conditions.” She kissed him, and Dixie got all emotional. Amanda somehow found Janet in the basement, and her mother asked for help loosening a gas pipe so she could take revenge on Erica for jailing Amanda. Her daughter noted that Erica had seen the light — that Josh was guilty — and now maybe they can pin all Janet’s misdeeds on Josh. When Janet continued to work the pipe she called her mother “insane.” Kendall mocked Zach’s claims of not meaning to hurt her and waiting for her, then stalked off. She bumped into Ryan. “Dance with me,” she commanded, but Ryan was skeptical of a revenge dance. Upstairs, Tad claimed that Josh resembles Erica, so he did a DNA test and proved she’s his biological mother. Outside, Babe wondered why JR had a change of heart. He explained he doesn’t want to end up old, miserable and bitter. Dixie listened with interest when Babe mentioned how she and Di had both tricked JR. Then Babe said yes, and smooched. A teary Dixie moved on.
Ryan told Kendall that someday she would understand why he forced her to confront the truth. Kendall hissed that he should have stayed dead and far, far away. Similarly, Jack warned Lily that if Jonathan doesn’t stay far, far away, Jack will have him arrested. Jack demanded she promise not to see Jon anymore. Lily refused to make a vow she couldn’t keep and accused Jack of lying to her about being to live a normal life with her disability. Upstairs, Erica was skeptical — she never knew the name (or recalled the face) of the doctor who performed her…er, termination — and wondered how Greg harvested her eggs? But wait, there’s more: Tad’s DNA test on Greg proved he IS NOT Josh’s father. Erica despaired of ever knowing who it was, but Tad knows: It’s his brother. “Jeff Martin is the father of your son.”
Ethan approached Kendall, who dismissed him for being Ryan’s buddy. “I don’t forget,” she warned. Outside, Simone found Zach, and said she realized Zach did it all for for love. Erica dismissed Tad’s claim as science fiction that wasn’t even possible “back then.” Tad called Greg a genius who was always ahead of his time. But wait, there’s more: Josh doesn’t know he’s her son! “Leave it to me,” Erica pronounced. Babe said she had something for JR, and went inside to fetch it. There she celebrated with Krystal. Dixie spotted Zach at the top of stairs. In the basement, Amanda warned Janet she needs help. She asked Janet to come away with her or she’ll expose her, so Janet gave her daughter the Vulcan nerve pinch. Babe returned with a kiss for JR — and an envelope. “My pre-nup for you,” she explained. She’s seeking joint custody.
Adam condemned Di (who was dressed in a gown with a thigh-high slit) for ripping out JR’s heart. As he recounted the sins of her masquerade as Dixie, the real Dixie overheard, and she grew more and more aghast. “You ruined his life,” Adam summed up. Inside, Josh demanded to know why he should care about La Kane. “Who is Erica to me, anyway?” Pssst: She’s standing right behind you….
In the basement, Janet removed a valve from a gas pipe, then rolled Amanda to safety in a wheelbarrow as gas hissed behind her….
