While Kendall and Zach emotionally discussed their future, Ryan arrived at Kendall’s home looking for her. He found her when he looked in the window of Zach’s place and saw the duo in their heated conversation. “I need you to fix what you broke,” Kendall cried to Zach, “and I need you to do it now.” He caressed her face, but sadly told her he couldn’t fix this. Kendall tearfully told him thanks for destroying their love and walked out, finding Ryan waiting for her. Once alone, Zach flashed back to his many memories with Kendall, but his memories were interrupted by Myrtle, there to comfort Zach over Ethan’s death — and to discuss Zach causing the blackout. Myrtle assured him that she still loved him. She advised him never to forget that, or the fact that Kendall loved him.
At the hospital, Josh and Greg fought over the potential of Josh working there. Meanwhile, Erica visited an unconscious Jack and told him that she needed him desperately to get through this Josh ordeal. Later, Kendall went to visit her mother in the hospital. Erica (who had heels on in the hospital!) could immediately tell something was wrong, so Kendall spilled her engagement was over. Erica assured Kendall she hated seeing her in pain and told Kendall of a time when she and Mona had the same conversation, and assured her daughter that one day she’d smile and laugh again. “Kane women don’t stay down long,” she promised. Kendall was grateful for her mother’s kind words of wisdom and gave her a hug and kiss before leaving. Once Kendall was gone, Erica made a call summoning Josh to her room. Outside in the hall, Kendall told Ryan that she wanted him to move in right away.
Babe spent the episode convincing Janet that she wanted to get far away from JR with Little Adam. It definitely helped her case when she told Janet that it was JR who ran down Amanda. Babe stated she just wanted to see her mom again and played on Janet’s devotion to her own daughter. Janet obviously softened, because the next thing you know, Janet unlocked the cabin door and gave Babe the keys to the car. MirrorJanet appeared and yelled at Janet, “Can you spell sucker?!”
Despite trying, Di never got a chance to tell JR that Dixie was alive because he received a call and immediately left the Chandler mansion. Di then went to see David, wanting to know the details David left out about Tad and Dixie’s last breakup. But instead of getting any info from Dr. Hayward, she divulged Jamie’s theory that Janet had kidnapped Babe.
The call JR received was letting him know a woman entered the cabin his security team was patrolling. JR assumed it could be Babe and left for the cabin —but it was Dixie, who managed to escape David’s property without being seen. Alone in the cabin, Dixie struggled with Di’s words of how much JR needed him then flashed back to the day she first saw her son. Before long, JR was right outside of the cabin’s door as Dixie paced inside. Dixie’s eyes widened as she heard her son’s voice calling out for Babe. Within seconds, JR kicked the door open, but Dixie had time to hide. When JR saw Babe wasn’t there, he fell to the bed and tears shined in his eyes. “Mom,” he called out to the heavens (or so he thought), “please help me.” And the camera panned to Dix, watching him with tears in her own eyes a mere feet away.
