Ryan showed up at Wildwind with a bottle of champagne and Julia pulled him inside. She was freaking out over taking her state nursing Boards. “I can’t believe how much has changed in nine years,” she exclaimed. Ryan, hero that he is, offered to help her study. After the study session, Julia and Ryan toasted to friendship then he gently kissed her on the lips. Meanwhile, Aidan and Erin enjoyed their fishing date and celebrated the New Year with a kiss as well.

GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Dobson made a visit to Pine Valley today — no wait, that’s just Janet in her waiter disguise. She tried to get Babe to take her “special water” but no such luck. However Krystal accidentally picked it up. “Ooopps,” MirrorJanet said. When Palmer asked her to dance, she had to turn him down because she wasn’t feeling well. Instead, she walked outside to get some air and quickly passed out. “You Carey women are capital T trouble,” Janet devilishly said, arriving quickly by Krystal’s side. Meanwhile at the party, Amanda told Jamie her New Year’s resolution was to stop holding grudges. He meant so much to her and she didn’t want to mess it up. And while JR and Babe took a break from dancing, Josh flirted with Babe. When JR came back over to them, Josh warned her she was making a mistake. Babe walked away from Josh and right into Janet, taking a drink from her tray this time.

A jealous JR questioned Babe about Josh, but Babe quickly reminded him that she was there with who she wanted — him. Janet had another waiter interrupt them and tell Babe that Krystal was looking for her. Good daughter that she is, Babe excused herself and walked outside. Her drink quickly affected her and BAM, she hit the ground in almost the exact same spot her mama did. (What are the odds?) And again, Janet was right there to scoop her up.

There was an appearance by Brooke today! She wasn’t pleased at all that Jamie was there with Amanda. Adam was there to take her mind off of that, though. “Where is your wife?” Brooke wondered. “I haven’t really noticed. How could I with you here?” he swooned and claimed he missed her and what they had. Brooke reminded him he was married. Elsewhere, Opal showed up with Del, and Simone and Ethan looked forward to 2006.

JR and Jamie noticed that both Babe and Amanda were missing. Jamie found Babe, but thanks to Janet, JR didn’t find Babe. Janet did however give a key to JR. At the same time, Josh was upstairs and opened the door to one of the rooms. “What the hell?” he declared. Downstairs, an extra, extra, extra large cake was brought out to ring in 2006 at the party. To everyone’s surprise, a naked Krystal popped out of it. And back upstairs, as the clock struck midnight, JR walked into the room he had a key to and found a naked Babe in bed — with Josh by her side.

Kendall was overwhelmed by Zach’s surprise for her. He had her favorite flowers, music, and even lobster waiting on his lady. The duo shared a beautiful dance and Zach declared his love again for her. She reminded him their relationship was settled and they were divorced. He replied that he made a mistake walking away. She tried to walk away but he stopped her, needing her to tell him how she felt. “If you don’t want me in your life, I will walk away from you, I promise,” he said. A tearful Kendall apologized to Zach, “I can’t do this.” He kissed her forehead and wiped her tears before walking away. “Zach wait!” yelled Kendall. When he turned around, she smiled and finally admitted, “I love you.” As Zach and Kendall kissed, we saw fireworks — in more than one way. Happy New Year, Zendall fans!
