Before Lily’s court hearing, Ryan went to see Erica and Jack. He tried to convince Jack to give up the petition, but to no avail. After Ryan left, Erica tried to get through to her husband, pointing out that she was doing everything in her power to win her son’s love, while he was pushing his daughter away. Jack simply told his wife he had a hearing to get to and left. Over at Jonathan and Lily’s apartment, Erin tried to prepare Lily what her court hearing would be like. Amanda arrived and gave Lily a good luck charm: Trevor’s old coin. After Lily and Amanda headed to the court house, special Jonathan morphed back into regular Jonathan and lamented about the situation to his sister. When Ryan arrived there, he quickly realized Jonathan was indeed back to his old self. Though stunned, Ryan was happy to have his little brother back.
Once Lily’s hearing began, Julia, Jack, Amanda and Erin all testified. The first time Lily took the stand things went well, but when Jack had his lawyer cross-examined his daughter, things got ugly and Lily quickly became agitated. Jonathan begged the court to stop and a brief recess was granted. While Amanda tended to Lily, Jonathan and Jack had a powwow alone. “It’s over,” stutter-free Jonathan said. “You win, Jack.” Meanwhile, back at Jack’s home with Erica, someone with a large duffel bag was breaking in.
A tipsy Tad (in the morning hours at that!) told David that Dixie was sleeping with Zach. “All these years we thought one of us would be the winner,” Tad shrugged. “Zach’s the winner. And his trophy is Dixie Cooney.” JR happened to walk up in time to catch the end of Tad’s comment. After David left, recovering alcoholic JR took Tad’s booze away from him and instructed his former stepdad to win Dixie back. “Together forever isn’t what it used to be,” Tad told the boy and advised JR to protect his mom now. JR reminded Tad about how close they seemed on the beach. “I love your mother. I always have, I always will…” Tad sighed. Then he walked out on JR, stating he wished none of this had ever happened, but it had. Meanwhile, David pounded on Dixie’s door demanding answers. Over at Kendall’s condo, Kendall was flabbergasted when Zach disclosed his plan for freedom: “Prove Tad right — Dixie and I have an affair.” If they were sleeping together in a hotel at the time of Madden’s murder, they couldn’t have offed him. “If you didn’t kill Madden, then why do you need an alibi?” Kendall wondered, but told her husband she loved him and would do whatever it took to help — even if it meant hating him for having an “affair” with Dixie.
JR dropped Babe off at Fusion and was less than pleased to see Josh working there. Babe wanted the two men to shake and make up. The indeed shook hands, but instant friends they were not. After her hubby left, Babe was impressed by Josh’s business skills. (What DOESN’T this man do? He’ll probably be a lawyer next week.) Erica and Kendall later arrived to chat with Josh, but were stunned when they walked in and saw Babe giving Josh a congratulatory hug.
