AMC: Buckle Up!

November 1999: After discovering that Adam, not Jake, is Colby’s father, Gillian becomes frantic to alert Jake. With Ryan in the passenger seat of her car, a speeding Gillian is forced to swerve when a dark figure steps into the road. Gillian is thrown from the car, but Ryan is trapped inside. Mateo, who is first on the scene, manages to pull him from the wreck seconds before it explodes. Ryan suffers a collapsed lung, and Gillian loses her ability to speak (meaning she cannot tell Jake about Colby).
May 2001: JR steals Adam’s car and drives to a park, where he buys and consumes drugs. His pregnant sister, Hayley, jumps in the car with him after discovering him in the park. JR begins driving at high speeds and they crash. Adam finds them, and insists JR get in the backseat in order to make it look like Adam had been driving. Hayley suffers a ruptured disc, but her baby is safe. When the police arrive, Hayley tells the truth about who was driving. JR is forced to take a drug test, but it comes back negative — because he substitutes a clean specimen he bought.
April 2002: Bianca and Maggie celebrate Maggie and Frankie’s shared birthday with two bottles of champagne. Soon both girls are drunk. Bianca caresses Maggie’s face, but she throws Binks out. Bianca takes to the road, where she ends up in an accident and suffers a head wound.
November 2005: Babe gets into a drunken JR’s car, but before she can take the keys he speeds off. Babe tries to convince him to pull over, but he only drives faster. He hits something, and when he finally stops the car, Babe discovers Amanda, bloody and unconscious on the ground. Babe saves Amanda’s life by administering CPR while waiting for an ambulance. Amanda nearly dies again in the ER. To prevent JR from being arrested for DWI, Babe tells the police she was driving.
July 2007: Greenlee briefly decides to kidnap Spike, but quickly reconsiders. While driving Spike back to his mother, Kendall, she loses control of the car and drives off a cliff. Greenlee and Spike are both seriously injured, and though the child’s life is saved by surgery, he loses his hearing permanently.
November 2007: While fixing a flat tire on the side of the road, Zach is hit by Richie, who was driving a car he stole from JR. Fearing Zach is dead, Richie puts the body in the car, dumps him in a different location, and fakes “proof” of JR’s involvement at the scene.
