She-Man: In 2004, Beth’s not-so-feminine gal pal and partner-in-crime, Charlie, ripped off an elaborate mask and revealed herself to actually be Alistair Crane! As if that wasn’t shocking enough, we learned in 2005 that Al, who had smooched Bethie while disguised as mean Charlene, was Beth’s father. Ew.

Rare Jules: Maybe Al got a lesson from his son Julian, who, with the help of prosthetics, a wig and dress, turned himself into female diner cook Peggy while on the run in 2001. When his rubber nose caught fire, the cross-dressing Crane was extinguished, er, exposed.

Beauty And The Geek: We all knew he had potential, but Miguel’s best friend Reese needed help to shed his nerdy shell. In 2004, Endora nixed Durkee’s glasses and exposed his muscles so the newfound stud would distract Charity away from Miguel.

Girl, Interrupted: For years, Simone was right up there with Theresa and Kay as one of Harmony’s most boy-crazy girls. So it was quite a shocker in 2005 when spunky Ms. Russell announced that she’s a lesbian.
Hook, Whine and Sleazer: Perhaps selling more makeup instead of plastering it on her face could have been her saving, uh, Grace, but in 2005, self-mutilating teen Jessica sought sexual healing on the streets. The once innocent girl, whose worst crime had been taunting her big sis, began downing drugs and turning tricks in order to please her sleazy pimp of a boyfriend.
