You auditioned opposite Anthony Geary (ex-Luke) to play Young Pat in 2015. Were you intimidated at all?

“I hate saying this, but I had no idea who he was. I had never seen the  show before! They told me, ‘He’s been on the show for a long time,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, cool.’ I was clueless! But I’m happy that I didn’t know, because sometimes actors can get in their heads about those kinds of things.”

When you signed a contract in 2016 to play Nelle, did you do anything to celebrate?

“My roommates and I went to House of Pies. We bought four pies, went back to our house and celebrated by watching Netflix and eating lots of pie.”

You didn’t get your own dressing room at first, if I’m remembering correctly.

“Yeah, it took about two months, so I was in other people’s rooms for a while. I was in Hayley’s [Erin, Kiki] one day and I texted her, like, ‘I’m in your room.’ She was like, ‘Cool!’ I was like, ‘Really? I would be freaked out by that [laughs]!’ But when I started, I didn’t spend too much time in my dressing room because I was always on set filming, or in the green room running lines.”

Who are your dressing room neighbors now?

“Nancy Grahn [Alexis] and Maura West [Ava]. Nancy and I discuss politics and stuff like that, and Maura is really funny. I like her a lot. She’s hysterical! And they’re both insanely talented.”

Of your scene partners, who’s the biggest goofball during rehearsal?

“I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I make a lot of jokes, I must say, because Nelle says such ridiculously, passive-aggressively rude things to people all the time, and I make fun of it. But other than me? Chad [Duell, Michael], for sure.”
