tragically succumbed to cancer. Ridge grew close to her

Kristian Alfonso were back as Bo and Hope (though
her return was short-term); Crystal Chappell and Michael Sabatino (who would later
wed in real life) debuted as Carly and Lawrence; Anne Howard temporarily replaced
Patsy Pease as Kimberly; and exits were scripted for Michael T. Weiss (Mike), Rick
Hearst (Scott), George Jenesky (Nick), Judith Chapman (Anjelica, now YOUNG AND
RESTLESS’s Gloria), and Billy Hufsey (Emilio).... Kayla and Steve remarried and cooed
over baby daughter
Stephanie. Justin and
Adrienne also pledged
their troth again and
adopted twins, Joseph
and Victor, Jr.... Shane
and Kim welcomed a
baby girl, Jeannie (later
known as Theresa)....

out as Duke; and Robyn Bernard (Terry) and Tonja Walker (Olivia) also left. Joseph
Hardy was out as executive producer when the show rehired former head honcho,
Gloria Monty.... Felicia picked Frisco over Colton; the Joneses renewed their vows
and welcomed baby Maxie.... Alan divorced Monica and reluctantly tied the knot with
Lucy; and on her wedding day, Dawn discovered that her groom, Ned, had slept with
her mother, Monica.... Duke (seemingly) returned from the dead only to (seemingly) die
in Anna’s arms. Julian was also believed to have met his maker after shooting sister
Olivia dead.... Scott hooked up with Tracy.... Robin palled around with alien Casey from
the planet Lumina.

YOUNG AND RESTLESS made some significant
hires, adding Victoria Rowell as Drucilla, Kimberlin
Brown as Sheila and Tonya Lee Williams as Olivia.
Veronica Redd succeeded Marguerite Ray as Mamie....
Danny and Cricket swapped vows in Hawaii; Nikki
wed Jack; Rex and Jill’s new marriage was
invalid (because he’d divorced Kay’s impostor,
