On Y&R, Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] wore an off-the-shoulder fuchsia dress that was very form-fitting. Where can I find it? Tammy G., via email: Go online at www.revolve.com and the Jay Godfrey design can be found under Roy Dress.
On DAYS, Hope [Kristian Alfonso] was wearing a great green silk shirt on September 21. Who makes it? Thank you! Jennifer T., via email: The shirt is by Derek Lam 10 Crosby. Check out derek lam.com for other styles.
What can you tell me about the black pants with the buttons and polka dot top that B&B’s Steffy [Jacqueline MacInnes Wood] was wearing on September 14? Thanks! K.G., via email: The top is actually a bodysuit, the “Britney Studded” bodysuit by Alice + Olivia. Bloomingdales carries it for $330. The pants are the Shore Sailor Wide-Leg Pants by Veronica Beard. You can find them at Neiman Marcus for $395.
Face Forward: Tamara Clatterbuck (Alice, Y&R) says her alter ego’s appearance has changed since the last time she was on. “I’m wearing makeup this time!” smiles the actress. “Alice didn’t wear makeup back then. None, so I wasn’t allowed to have any on. I’d come to work looking like I just rolled out of bed and they’d say, ‘Perfect! Get out there!’ I’d be in my jeans and T-shirt and they wouldn’t even send me to wardrobe because they thought I was camera-ready [laughs]. It was so sad. Once I even snuck into my dressing room and bumped up my makeup, but they busted me as soon as I got out onto the set. They asked if I was wearing any and I said, ‘Not really.’ Then they looked at me and I said, ‘Okay, I am, I am!’ I just didn’t want to look so downtrodden. So, now I get to wear makeup! Alice is supposed to look like she’s coming up in the world. I’ve got eyelashes and mascara on, and I feel so pretty!”
Wardrobe Redux: Just as the late, great Nolan Miller’s costume designs on the original DYNASTY set fashion trends around the globe, expect to see some eye-popping new looks on The CW reboot, as well. Says Executive Producer Stephanie Savage, “Our designer, Meredith Markworth-Pollack, has done beautiful work on The CW on REIGN, a gorgeous period show that she designed. We worked with her originally on GOSSIP GIRL. She’s great at being in touch with new trends and doing the kind of styling that audiences are going to know who is wearing what and where it came from.” Notes Nathalie Kelley (Cristal), “The clothes definitely are almost characters in themselves, and Meredith does an amazing job. Cristal’s color palette is very much paying homage to Linda Evans’s [ex-Krystle] color palette — lots of jewels and pink tones and color blocking.” And here’s a fun fact: Savage’s mother has a pair of earrings from the original DYNASTY days: “I asked about them, and they were in her jewelry box,” she shares. “So, we brought them to set and an extra wore them and they’re featured on camera.”
