MOM’S THE WORD
B&B’s Hunter Tylo (Taylor) is thrilled about TV daughter Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s (Steffy) real-life pregnancy. “I think it’s so great,” Tylo gushes. “I’m so happy for Jacqui, and she doesn’t know it yet, but it’s really going to affect her acting. Whenever she’s talking about whatever is going to happen with her child on the show, it’s going to make those scenes so much richer for her because when you become a mom, there are feelings you never dreamed you would ever have that — all of a sudden — are very real. Being a mom myself has certainly made me a richer actor, because you can suddenly tap into feelings inside of you that you didn’t even know existed, or that you were even capable of feeling. So, it can’t do anything but make her life and work better. I’m so excited for her. Personally, I can’t wait until she starts bringing the baby to the set. I love babies! They’re a lot of work, but they are so adorable.”
A LOTT TO LOVE
Loren Lott (Ana, Y&R) happily reports that she’s bonding just fine with her co-stars. “Bryton [James, Devon] is just like the greatest thing ever,” gushes the actress. ‘I love hanging out with him and talking about Michael Jackson, who was his friend. I’m such a huge Michael Jackson fan, so I love that. I also grew up seeing Bryton on TV. I remember him as a little boy and I thought he was just the cutest kid, so to be able to hang out with him and stuff now is amazing; I don’t take it for granted at all. I think it’s so great to be able to pinch his cheeks and bother him 24/7 like I do. He just giggles, which is my favorite. He heard me sing and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m never singing with you.’ I love him so much.” Lott is enjoying a different kind of connection with Brooks Darnell (Nate). “Brooks is so suave and smooth, so I love just crushing that, taking him out of it and killing his vibe,” she chuckles. “He’ll be so serious and I like making him laugh on accident because he hates it, but he loves me! The whole cast has been amazing. They’re so much fun.”
“BROE” CODE
Eric Martsolf (Brady) is thrilled to be working more with Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) on DAYS. “We’re like the same person, just with different reproductive organs,” he cracks. “Ever since I was brought on as Brady, they’ve never really explored the Brady/Chloe dynamic. And just when you think they might do it, they bring the old Brady [Kyle Lowder, Rex] into the mix and then you fool around with the ‘Broe’ idea. Ron [Carlivati, head writer] knows what he’s doing. He’s playing with the nostalgia of it, he’s playing with the historial element of it, and bringing what worked back in the day and mixing that with the new. So I think it’s a good time for our show. I adore this girl. I think she’s fun. I think she hasn’t gotten the chances in the last couple of years that she’s been [entitled] to given her commitment to the show and what she’s shown, so I think it’s time for her to fly a little bit and shine, and I can say those moments are coming.”
PHOTO REALISM
Fans may have noticed that during GH’s special, Sonny-centric episode, which took place in an alternate universe where Sonny and Olivia were married, the set (a redressed version of Margaux’s mother’s living room) was decorated with photos of Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) with their real-life kids. “Wasn’t that cute?” coos LoCicero. “Production asked for some photos of me with [3-year-old daughter] Verity and I sent them a million of our recent photos, but of course, everything on my camera was a selfie. They were like, ‘No, this picture is supposed to have been taken years ago, before they had selfies! It’s just supposed to be you and a baby, so listen, just walk outside and have your husband take a picture of you and the baby.’ I said, ‘Okay, that I can do!’ I actually watched the episode with Verity. I said, ‘You’re going to be on TV, just wait!’ And when they showed her picture, she got a huge smile on her face. So, uh-oh! They did do a really nice sort of zoom-in on her picture, but of course, when you’re a kid and you see your mom on TV a lot, you probably think it’s just a thing that happens all the time.”
