Chrishell Hartley (Jordan, DAYS) has enjoyed being a witness to hubby Justin Hartley’s (ex-Adam, Y&R et al) newfound fame, thanks to his starring role in THIS IS US. “I’m just so, so excited for him and the fact that he was able to really show everybody what he was capable of this last season,” she enthuses. “I’m just so proud of him!” Being so recognizable, though, has had its surprising moments. “There have been a few times where people literally scream and start running and chasing him on the street,” she marvels. “That happened in New York. I mean, I’ve never seen anything like that. I was like, ‘Do we run? Do we hide? Oh, my God!’ I didn’t know what to do with him. What does one do in this situation when a group of girls start screaming and running at you? There have been some new experiences!” And some definite high points of his new gig. “Meeting Pink was definitely one of them!” Hartley relays. “I’m such a fan of hers. We went to the American Music Awards and then we went to the Billboard Music Awards, and I just think that is the most fun thing to do of all time is to go to a music awards show. He was presenting both those times, so I told him, ‘Honey, that’s the most fun thing I’ve ever done!’ I would have to say that’s my favorite perk of his job that he does, is that I get to go with him to these awards shows. It’s so much fun!”

B&B’s Darin Brooks (Wyatt) doesn’t play favorites when it comes to his soap. “It’s tough when I get asked questions like, ‘Who’s your favorite character?’ I don’t like that because in actuality, I don’t have a favorite because everybody is just so damn good and talented! You always hear actors say, ‘We’re all just such a big family and we all get along so well,’ but in our case, it’s really true. In fact, going into the studio does not even feel like work for me. It’s just a fun time hanging out with the family. Currently, I’m really enjoying working with Courtney [Hope, Sally] and exploring the ‘Wally’ storyline, since that’s what’s going on at the moment.”

During Chloe Lanier’s final GH air week, Nelle and Michael had a tense confrontation in the car she believed Chase had rigged to explode. “First of all, I loved shooting in that Mercedes,” the actress raves. “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, we have a Mercedes?!’ I was really excited because I had a Mercedes — not anything like that one, it was used and, like, 15 years old. But it was also really nice because the one thing about doing a soap that really frustrated me is that you couldn’t move where you wanted to move because we use four cameras, and they need to know where you’re going to be at all times so the cameras can move. I understand that, but it was nice to just be able to sit in the car with Chad [Duell, Michael] and not have to, like, move to the other side of the room when I really didn’t want to. I loved that, but the scenes were very jarring to film, especially because I’ve gotten into car accidents before. It felt very real to me.”

As much as Y&R’s Sharon Case (Sharon) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) enjoy working together, Case reports that shooting the scene when their characters see J.T. lurking outside of Sharon’s house (really a masked Nick) was more challenging than it looked. “First of all, we had to do it in like seven takes because we were trying to get the lighting, the camera angle and the focus just right,” Case explains. “Doing that multiple times made it hard to scream and make it seem scary. Playing scary is the hardest thing to play because you have to make it look spontaneous. When you have to do it over and over, it becomes harder to do because you’re having to try and keep your energy level up. And let me tell you, we didn’t hold back in order to save our voices, we did a loud scream with every take!”
