Everybody Dance Now
Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS) has gotten to learn about TikTok during the quarantine. “Izzy [her daughter] is the TikTok queen in the house,’ ” Zucker explains. “Shawn Christian, ex-Daniel, DAYS/her boyfriend] knows more about it. I said, ‘You know what, Izzy, I would dance and make up a dance routine in my room when I was younger.’ I loved it. Being a loner between the horses and my pets and myself, I would do that. This reminds me of being a kid except you’re putting it on TikTok instead. We had such a blast with it. We finally got her dad [Kyle Lowder, ex-Rex, DAYS et al] to do one. You had to see his face. He was like, ‘I’m not doing it.’ He had to do it. He’s coming over on Sundays now for dinner. He was hilarious. We finally convinced him to do it. That was my favorite one, too. Having all four of us in there was so great, ’cause not only is it cute, but it sends such a great message about us all getting along. We can talk about it but it is great for people to see it. Izzy’s face in that was priceless, too. She was in the front and you could see her little attitude. She’s so committed. I love it.”

Word Perfect
Soon after Donny Boaz (Chance, Y&R) joined the show, he got an invitation to hang out in Joshua Morrow’s (Nick) dressing room. “It was my first week and he was like, ‘Come here, young pup. I’m going to give some words of wisdom to you,’ ” Boaz recalls. “So, I went into his room and his very first words to me were, ‘You know I’m a big deal, right? I’m, like, the biggest deal [laughs].’ But then he tells me, 'Kid, I like you. I hope you stick around.’ ” Next, Boaz’s co-star shared some tricks of the trade. “The thing that shocked me was Joshua saying that in his 25 years on the show, he’s only taken the work home with him probably three times,” marvels Boaz. “And I was like, ‘How is that pos- sible?!’ What Joshua does is read the script as soon as it comes in and he writes small, medium, large or some- thing like that. If it’s an easy day, he shows up on time, if it’s a little bit more, he shows up 30 minutes early to learn his lines, and if it’s a really heavy day, he’ll show up an hour before. That’s his trick. I don’t have that skill yet. I’ve seen Bryton [James, Devon] just look at the script and go, ‘Okay, I’m ready.’ He doesn’t even have a script when he shows up to rehearsal!”
Alone Together
Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, ALL MY CHILDREN) thoroughly enjoyed taking a walk down memory lane alongside her Pine Valley pals Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea, Y&R), Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Jake), Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan) and Chrishell Stause (ex-Amanda) during Entertainment Weekly's virtual cast reunion. "I see Cameron and Melissa and Chrishell. Ricky, I hadn't seen in a long time and it was really nice to see him. But when I saw Josh, my heart was just, like, [exploding] and I texted him afterward. I don't know what it was about that show — maybe it was that I was in my 20s and figuring out who I was as a person — but literally that show was some of the best days of my life. We were living in New York, having a great time on a great show with just the most incredible group of people, both cast and crew, and it was just magical, you know? It was really nice to reconnect and to see him." The actress was shocked that Duhamel volunteered to tell the story of accidentally dropping her on her head during a love scene mishap. "Josh felt so awful," she recalls. "He came to my house with a gift, I think a silver tea set, to apologize in person. He felt so bad fo ra long time and he wouldn't let me bring it up, like, 'Please, don't. I don't want to talk about it.' And he's the one who brought it up on the Zoom reunion!"
Brother Knows Best
According to B&B’s Scott Clifton (Liam), he knew he was destined to be TV brothers with Darin Brooks (Wyatt) as far back as the latter’s audition. “For me, I got to be in the room with the final four guys who auditioned for Wyatt, and I got to be able to say, ‘Oh, my God. It’s got to be Darin and if it’s not Darin, I quit,’ ” he grins. “Well, I wouldn’t quit. I was bluffing. But Darin was the obvious choice. What was funny was that I hadn’t even considered the implications of all the love triangle stuff. I didn’t even think Wyatt was going to be a huge compet- itor for Hope’s affection. I didn’t think of any of that, so when Darin was cast, I was so psyched. I was walking around telling everyone, ‘I get a broth- er. They’re giving me a brother!’ and what I should have been saying was, ‘I get a mortal enemy. Yay! They’re giving me a mortal enemy [laughs].’ But they’re past all that now, thank- fully, but I didn’t really think that one through.”
