FAMILY CIRCLE
Y&R’s Amelia Heinle (Victoria) is thankful to have Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) and Eric Braeden (Victor) as her on-screen parents. “I just love [Melody] so much,” Heinle enthused on Digest’s podcast, Dishing With Digest. “I don’t know how it happened but we just love each other. We just laugh. She doesn’t know all the details of my personal life. We don’t call each other on a daily basis. But when we’re at the studio, it’s just like, I don’t know. And it happened right away, actually, with her because she and Eric were ... We liked each other from the start and I’m not sure why. They’re not like that with everyone and I’m not like that with everyone. I actually thought they were gonna be pretty big divas and they weren’t, they were just really kind to me. We just became closer and closer. We get on set and we just get each other. Eric, me and Mel and Josh [Morrow, Nick], we just get each other. It’s just so much time spent with each other in these roles. You have to laugh at it but we also take it very seriously at the same time. They have the nice balance of getting it. It’s not real life, but it means something to people.”

TIME OUT
Y&R’s Sharon Case (Sharon) is awed by the changes in on-screen daughter Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith). “I can’t believe how grown up Aly is,” marvels Case. “We were in a scene the other day and when she came down the stairs, I thought, ‘Who is this beauty queen?’ I couldn’t believe the difference from when she was on the show this past summer and when she came back for the holidays. She’s at that stage where every two weeks, she’s growing like a weed and it kind of blows my mind. She really is becoming a young lady.” Case shares that their relationship dynamic hasn’t shifted too drastically. “Aly is still Aly and we’re still us, so we are still like a couple of girlfriends and she’s still teaching me dance steps. She was telling me yesterday that in her spare time she likes to memorize TikTok dances, but I’ve already been doing that with my niece when we’re sitting around after family dinners. So Aly and I are hoping to do some together and get them on video. We’ve had a tough schedule lately but I can see that in our future.”
DAY-TRIPPER
While B&B’s Matthew Atkinson (Thomas) wouldn’t trade in his current gig, there is something he wouldn’t mind trying on the side. “I think hosting James Corden’s show [THE LATE LATE SHOW] would be interesting,” he smiles. “The day starts off with coming up with jokes for your monologue and the little games that happen with the guests, and then you get to do the interview. Interviewing, I’ve always found fascinating. I love when I watch really good interviewers who ask really good questions — because if you ask really good questions, you get really good answers and you learn. I think it would be so much fun. You get to be a great interviewer, well, hopefully a great interviewer [laughs]. You get to interview people and you get to ask questions that you want to know the answers to and learn. You also get to tell some jokes and entertain people. Maybe I’ll steal James Corden’s job and we could switch places for a day!”
TITLE SEQUENCE
When Réal Andrews’s (Taggert) alter ego got a PCPD promotion back in the day on GH, “We kind of had a running joke when we were on set because everybody was so used to calling me detective. They’d call me detective and I’d be like, ‘It’s Lieutenant.’ And, of course, on my first day back, I had a scene with Genie [Francis, Laura] and Genie had the line, ‘‘Oh, it’s so good to see you, Detective,’ and I look at her and I go, ‘Uh, it’s Lieutenant.’ That was a fun little ad-lib. And no surprise, right, because she’s such a phenomenal actress, but she didn’t miss a beat. I didn’t say that in rehearsal; I waited until we were taping because I just wanted to have fun with it. And she was right there; her reaction was awesome. She’s a legend! So, to be able to do a scene with her was very cool. I can’t remember ever having a scene with her before, so that was great. It was awesome! I was so excited to do that my first day back.”
