BAD SPORT
Hunter King (Summer, Y&R) is waiting for the right time to catch up with Joshua Morrow (Nick). “I’ve asked him to play football with me between takes and I’m still waiting for him to bring a football to work,” sighs the actress. “He was pretty surprised when I first asked and I’m sure he didn’t think I was being serious. Then when I asked him again, he said, ‘Okay, after Thanksgiving.’ He never did, and now it’s after the holidays, so I just might have to bring the football myself.” The idea for the duo to engage in the sport came from Morrow. “Joshua was the one who actually brought it up first,” King explains. “He saw a video that I posted on Instagram of me throwing a football with [my fiancé] Nico. Joshua told me, ‘Wow, you can throw really well,’ and I just went, ‘Eh. I want to throw more accurately, so can you help me?’ He said, ‘Yeah, of course,’ and it hasn’t happened. He loves to coach so I don’t know what the holdup is. Like I said, I’m still waiting.”

DADDY’S GIRL
Many new fathers can find the first few months of new parenthood overwhelming, but not B&B’s Darin Brooks (Wyatt), who welcomed Everleigh Jolie with wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, Y&R) last September. “There is nothing to complain about,” he reports. “She smiles all the time. She sleeps 8-to-10 hours a night. Kelly and I can’t brag about her enough. Thankfully, she is happy and healthy, and she looks more and more like her mother every day, which is a big relief.” Brooks says he can’t wait to introduce Everleigh to his home state. “We want to get Everleigh out to Hawaii to grandma and grandpa’s house and have grandpa teach her to swim!” Brooks enthuses. “My dad always says, ‘You’ve got to start them young.’ He did that with me. He said, ‘Yeah, we just threw you in. We saw you go down and hoped you’d come back up, and you did. You held your breath because it was just natural.’ I was like, ‘Thanks, Dad. Thanks for being so careful about it.’ We’re hoping to go during our spring break from the show, and we’re looking into tickets now, so fingers crossed!”

PAPER CHASE
Off camera, Eden McCoy (Josslyn, GH) is a champion beach volleyball player, but her athletic talent didn’t quite translate when Josslyn and pals Cameron, Trina and Dev passed the time during detention by playing a makeshift game of volleyball with a scrunched-up piece of paper. “It was funny; we were all super-loopy that day because we had been there for a really long time under those hot fluorescent lights,” McCoy recalls. “I don’t know if you could tell how loopy we were, but the four of us were just laughing the entire time we were shooting those scenes because William [Lipton, Cameron] was chucking the paper and we had to keep redoing it. Everyone was like, ‘Okay, you play volleyball, so this will be easy.’ I was like, ‘Um, do you know that this is just a wad of paper?’ It was nice of them to write that in and the fans always like that stuff; ‘Eden plays volleyball and Joss is playing volleyball!’ But in terms of showing off my skills, not so much!”

HOMECOMING KING
Brandon Beemer (Shawn, DAYS; ex-Owen, B&B) admits he didn’t expect to still be on the canvas in 2020. “I would never ever have imagined that I would be here ever,” shares the actor. “I didn’t think they would keep me long enough, especially after 2008. I was like, ‘They hate me. I’m out of here. BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, here I come!’ And then after B&B, it was quite a few years. I was always willing to come back. This was a place I had unfinished business because I never really got to grow up, and I felt like I grew up someplace else. Watching everybody else grow up here, like Nadia [Bjorlin, ex-Chloe] and Martha [Madison, ex-Belle], because Martha left when I left, it was just kind of like, ‘I have to go back.’ And I was lucky enough to come back. I keep dropping in and saying hello to Salem.” Beemer keeps in touch with his DAYS co-stars when he’s not filming. “Kristian’s [Alfonso, Hope] great. I talk to Martha. I talk to Billy [Flynn, Chad]. It’s nice to see everybody out and about, especially in the daytime community. It’s like a cool little family.”
