“My late partner, James, and I bought this house in 2010 in Palm Springs [CA], then we went through six months of renovations. The first impression I want people to have when they see this kitchen is that a gourmet chef designed it, which my darling James, who was a wonderful chef, did.”

“My bathroom is my oasis. I don’t even remember where those screens came from, but I put them up and I love how the light filters through.”

“This old stained glass window had been installed in our previous house and James wanted to bring it to this place, but didn’t say anything about that to me. Thank God I was out of town when it was moved because I would’ve been a neurotic mess. It took hours for someone to carefully remove it, then bring it here. That was actually a wall and James opened it up to put in the window. That bench is from a second-hand store in New York City that I’ve been lugging around since my AS THE WORLD TURNS days [as ex-Natalie].”

“James and I enjoyed traveling around the world and we’ve collected art, antiques, sculptures and furniture from places like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand and parts of Europe.”
