Mark Grossman (Adam, Y&R)
“I had auditioned for GENERAL HOSPITAL and BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, but I have no idea what the roles were for because they were under code names.”
Courtney Hope (Sally, B&B)
“I auditioned for all of them, actually. And I did audition for ALL MY CHILDREN when it went online. I was already here in L.A. and one of my friends got a role on it. But I have auditioned for Y&R. I auditioned for GENERAL HOSPITAL quite a few times and I’ve been in for DAYS OF OUR LIVES a few times, too. I auditioned for B&B when I was younger, and then I came back about six months later and auditioned for Sally.”

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea, Y&R)
“Before I got ALL MY CHILDREN [Annie], I screen- tested for the role of Colleen on Y&R in 2005. I remember it so well. I tested with Thad [Luckinbill, ex-J.T.] on the coffeehouse set and was in Jeanne Cooper’s [ex-Katherine] dressing room.”

Jon Lindstrom (Kevin/Ryan, GH)
“I auditioned for [former GH Executive Producer] Gloria Monty for the role of Jimmy Lee — Steve Bond got it. [Former ABC Casting Director] Mary Jo Slater was always bringing me in to test for different things on ABC’s New York shows, but I don’t remember which offhand. I was offered the role of [AS THE WORLD TURNS’s] Damian that went to Paolo Seganti after I turned it down. And before that there was the big screen test for the new Jack Abbott on Y&R. It was even documented on a 48 HOURS special with Dan Rather. So yeah, we had a news crew in the room while we read for [former Y&R EP] Bill Bell
and crew. Good times!”
Sal Stowers
(Lani, DAYS)
“I auditioned for
GENERAL HOSPITAL maybe two months
prior to getting DAYS. I actually think my friend booked the role. I had a couple of sessions with Mark Teschner [casting director] over there at
GH and then a few months later Lani Price came into my world,
and I love her!”

(Carter, B&B)
“I got GUIDING LIGHT [ex-Remy], when I was in college so I didn’t really audition for anything at first. That was what really got the ball rolling for me. After that ended, I auditioned for DAYS and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, because I was still back in New York. DAYS went really well but they ended up going in a different direction. I auditioned for Y&R, and that’s part of what got me on B&B. I flew out to test for a role that ultimately wound up going to Redaric Williams [ex-Tyler], but because I tested well
and the network liked me and the
producers liked me, they had me meet with Brad [Bell, executive producer/head writer] and the rest is history.”
