Want to get better connected to DAYS’s Galen Gering (Rafe), Greg Vaughan (Eric) and Y&R’s Jason Thompson (Billy)? Well, now you can! The actors have launched their own personal mobile apps in partnership with escapex that puts you in direct contact with them. “This app is going to allow me to connect with my fans in a way that I’ve never been able to before,” enthuses Gering. “Now engaging with my fans will be a two-way street. I can’t wait to take control of my content, share a whole new side of myself, and get to know my biggest fans better.” The app is available for download in both the iTunes and Android stores, and will be available for free with an additional subscription option for super-fans. You can access them here:

As for the thinking behind the new venture, “Because of the way social media has evolved, if you have a significant number of followers, you don’t reach all of your fans every time you post,” explains escapex General Manager Joe Cuello. “We allow the fans and the people that they love to connect in an environment that that artist owns, and where they can have interactions that sort of are bigger than and more meaningful than any other platform because it’s theirs.” Cuello understands that special connection that already exists between soap stars and fans. “Just having grown up in the United States with mothers and grandmothers around me, the power of these guys in the homes of people every day for years seems like a really amazing place to be able to take those super-fans and engage with them in a unique way daily, rather than post on socials and hope that it reaches most or some or a percentage of them,” he points out. “So this is a reciprocal kind of platform where you can really be interactive and communicate, and then we also have some opportunities that are baked in.” Like having dinner with your faves. “In this case, at launch, each of the apps is going to provide an opportunity for people to comment, and then each actor will choose someone to fly out and meet for what is, in the end, going to be a group dinner with the three guys and whoever the winners are,” Cuello shares. “And the reason we do that is simple: We want people to try the app out and motivate them to download these guys’ apps and start enjoying a unique experience that is akin to a fan club. It’s just a 21st century version, and you have a unique sea of content that won’t exist anywhere else.” Thompson says he’s thrilled about the opportunity. “What I’m most excited about is the transparency, the social outreach that I can now have with my people, my fans,” he notes. “I want to get to know them better as they get to know me. On top of that, I couldn’t think of a better way to share what I’m up to! One of the things that has always been a big part of my daily life is music. I’m hoping this personal platform is a way to share that directly with anyone who wants to give it an ear. Can’t wait for you to get to know new side of me. Never have I gotten the chance to be this honest and personal with my fans until now.” Vaughan adds, “As my devoted fans know, I am dedicated to giving the best of who I am. With this new platform, I’ll finally have a way to keep them in the loop of my everyday activities while simultaneously showing them how much I care about them.”
