THE BAY Resumes Production

THE BAY has resumed production on the sixth season of the digital drama series, which was shut down during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. “Strictly adhering to the newly established industry guidelines, LANY Entertainment and The Bay producers have implemented rigorous safety standards and protocols including a skeleton crew and most of the cast being quarantined on a private 800-acre property, in addition to regular COVID-19 testing, and mandatory daily temperature checks from an onset medical professional,”  LANY Entertainment said in a statement to Deadline Hollywood. Fourteen all-new episodes — the second half of season 5 and all of season 6 — are being released from late August through December. The show has also announced some casting information:

John Aprea (Jack Madison): Aprea (ex-Lucas, ANOTHER WORLD) joins the cast in season 6. Aprea will assume the role of former Bay City Mayor, Jack Madison, previously  player by Nicolas Coster. Aprea has begun taping episodes and will first appear as the new Jack in late fall/early winter.  

William Christian (Dr. Marques Abraham): The ALL MY CHILDREN alum (ex-Derek) will play the recurring role of a doctor in season 6.

Carrington Garland (Kelly Johnson): Garland (ex-Kelly, SANTA BARBARA) will first appear on THE BAY’s 10-year anniversary special on September 15.

Chrystee Pharris (Velma Bennett): Pharris (ex-Simone, PASSIONS) will guest star in two episodes in late August. She’ll play a social worker. 

Karrueche Tran (Vivian Johnson-Garrett): Tran returns as Pete’s wife for season 6, and will first appear on September 15. 

Vanessa Williams (Cleo Harris): Williams (ex-Valerie, DAYS) returns as the new mayor of Bay City.
