Stars React To Daytime Emmy Nominations

Actors posted their reactions to their Daytime Emmy nominations on social media. Lead Actress nominee Finola Hughes wrote, “I am so honored & humbled, it came as a complete surprise today to receive an Emmy nom, a whisper out of the blue to a time when things were normal, we all went to work, some of us learned lines, some of us worked shifts, baked cakes, painted houses, built cars; and yet for essential workers, nothing much has changed, except everything. Here’s a pic of #michaeleastman & me, b’cos hardly anyone does anything alone, and this actor has shown up as a solid support and human every step of the way. Thank you for always being there #MichaelE and thank you Mr #frankvalentini for your constant guidance, miss everyone so much.” Her co-star and fellow nominee Maura West (Ava) added, “Times are tough…I’m grateful for the boost…my congratulations to all Daytime nominees.. and my love to all my colleagues … I love you ALL… xxx.” Cady McClain (ex-Dixie, ALL MY CHILDREN) cheered the Lead Actor nomination of hubby, Jon Lindstrom (Ryan/Kevin, GH), “So proud of my #Emmy nominated husband @jonlindstrom . This is his second nomination in a row for Lead Actor in a daytime drama as twins Ryan and Kevin Collins on @generalhospitalabc . Jon is a consummate professional, dedicated to excellence in his craft, respectful and kind to all he works with. He exemplifies the absolute best of what it means to be an actor. I’m blessed to be his partner and to watch him year after year drive himself toward doing his absolute best work, every time, all the time. Baby, you are a winner in my eyes. I’m just so glad everyone else is seeing it, too. (Thank you voters!!) Let’s celebrate this moment!” Outstanding Guest Performer nominee Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan, DAYS) noted, “I’m freaking out!!!! Ahhhhh THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
