You’re no stranger to sexy, having been included in People’s 50 Most Beautiful issue in 1990 and then being dubbed “Sexiest Soap Veteran” in 2009. What’s your secret?
“Showering twice a day.”
How would you define sexy?
“Sexy is in the eye of the beholder.”
What was your wife, Cindy Ambuehl’s (ex- Amy/Kim, B&B), reaction to this nod?
“I have to get back to you on that. I forget to mention it! See, when you maintain this level of sex appeal over such a long period of time, you’re just nonchalant [laughs].”
What’s the sexiest thing in your wardrobe? “Whatever is comfortable … Maybe it’s what I don’t wear.”
Who is your pick for sexiest celebrity?
“Ann-Margret, no doubt. Also, Angie Dickinson and Ursula Andress. I actually told my wife that she’s Ursula Andress- esque, especially in Dr. No when she walks out of the ocean. Farrah Fawcett, of course. I had her poster and Lynda Carter’s WONDER WOMAN poster.”
What’s your idea of a romantic evening? “It’s never just one thing. I like to turn the bed down for her, have the lighting just right, light a candle. That’s almost like a daily thing, and I know she appreciates that. For Valentine’s Day, I like to make a big deal about it, whether it’s a vacation getaway or a restaurant we haven’t been to in a while, flowers, gifts. I enjoy all of that.”
