Forrester Creations has a new employee — Matt — played by Raphael Thompson, whose recent elimination from THE PRICE IS RIGHT’s Male Model Search (check it out at www.priceisright.com) helped him land the sudsy opportunity. “To even make it that far in the competition was really great,” Thompson enthuses. “To make it that far and have the opportunity to go to the next level of my career and have the opportunity to be on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was just that much more great.”
For Thompson, who watched both PRICE and B&B as a kid, it was a surreal experience. “As a child wanting to be an actor because of soap operas and actually being on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was like, ‘Wow, I could really get used to doing this,’ ” he smiles. “It would be an amazing and humbling pleasure to be a series regular. That would be the ultimate reward.”
Thompson isn’t the first PRICE IS RIGHT alum to appear on a soap: DAYS’s Robert Scott Wilson (Ben) had a similar career path. "Hearing his story and how he started from THE PRICE IS RIGHT is definitely an inspiration,” notes the newcomer.
