Trent Dawson (ex-Henry, AS THE WORLD TURNS), who most recently played Huxley on GH, is bringing together a slew of his former Oakdale colleagues at a benefit on June 22 in New York City to raise funds for his upcoming short film project, The F, which began as a play he wrote and directed. Enthuses the actor, “The play deals with, among other things, the possibility of infidelity, and how that possibility can make you question everything. Are you right? Is your partner cheating? If so, why does this keep happening to you in every relationship? If not, are you paranoid? Crazy? And what if your partner is gaslighting you into thinking that you are, in fact, losing your mind? Turns out these themes really struck a chord with theatre-goers and I was encouraged to bring it to a larger audience via film. The play takes place in a NYC Subway station, and since I’m surrounded by plenty of those to film in, it seemed worthwhile to make the movie. Also, it’s funny.” The benefit will take place at The Freeman Studio at 79 Leonard St.; scheduled to appear are ATWT alumni Martha Byrne (ex-Lily), Terri Conn (ex-Katie), Michael Park (ex-Jack), Austin Peck (ex-Brad), Anne Sayre (ex-Mitzi), Eric Sheffer-Stevens (ex-Reid Oliver) and Colleen Zenk (ex-Barbara). “My ATWT colleagues have been amazing,” praises Dawson. “Everyone I reached out to that will be in NYC on June 22nd said yes immediately. It will be great to have them all together again. It’s really touching to have this kind of support all these years later.” Expect plenty of Oakdale-related entertainment on the big night, he says. “Not only will the benefit feature some of your favorites from ATWT, it will have a performance of the play, music, a film featuring years of ATWT bloopers and a silent auction. PLUS complimentary food, wine and beer! Where else are you going to get that on a Friday night in NYC for $50????” For tickets and more information, click here https://thefbenefit.splashthat.com.
