ICYMI: Why Everybody Loves Amelia Heinle

March 21 marked Amelia Heinle’s 15th anniversary playing Y&R’s Victoria. To honor the actress, co-stars share what makes her so great.

Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki)

“Congratulations to the sweetest angel and brightest star, our amazing Amelia! I will never forget her very first day with us, in 2005. At the time, Victoria was enjoying a bohemian life in Florence, Italy, painting master pieces. Victor and Nikki came to visit, with the unspoken intention of coaxing her back to Genoa City to live. Our set decorators had created such a beautiful space for Victoria’s Italian apartment, but its beauty was surpassed by Amelia’s presence and aura. Eric and I fell in love with her immediately. Her enchanting demeanor took
our breath away. The informal definition of ‘angel’ according to Merriam-Webster is: A person who is very good, kind and beautiful. They must know Amelia! She is our star, our cheerleader and
our treasure. Hoping that these 15 years are just the beginning. We love you, Amelia. Her star shines brightly; Illuminating all hearts, Our gift to hold dear.”

Eric Braeden (Victor)

“I absolutely love working with her! She is the most considerate, kindest person, and a hell of an actress.”

Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe)

“I’ve known Amelia since we worked on ALL MY CHILDREN together. I have always looked up to her not only as a co-star, but also as a human being. Aside from having the best hair and brows you’ll ever see, you will never meet anyone as lovely and easygoing as Amelia. Congrats on such an incredible milestone!”

Kate Linder (Esther)

“I’ve worked with Amelia for all of her 15 years here and aside from being a consummate professional, I just love the way she always greets me with a smile and a hug. Obviously, Amelia is a great actress, but she’s also a kind and supportive friend. She’s graciously participated in several of my charity teas in Canada and I’ve seen her come to many of our fellow castmates’ projects, as well. Happy 15th anniversary, Amelia. I look forward to celebrating the next 15 years with you, as well!”

Greg Rikaart (Kevin)

“Amelia is one of the most kind, talented and funny women I know and she has the greatest and most infectious laugh. Also, her skill at put- ting together a top-notch Christmas video/gag reel is next level. Congrats on 15 years, beautiful Amelia! Here’s to many, many more.”

Jess Walton (Jill)

“Amelia is my favorite human on the face of the earth. She makes me laugh more than anybody, and I think she is a fantastic actress and cast mate. She is also a great mom, and I think she is my daughter from another life!”

Joshua Morrow (Nick)

“It’s no secret that I love Amelia more than just about anything in this world. She’s a sparkly unicorn who touches everyone around her and makes them smile. She’s an absolute 10 but you wouldn’t know it by the way she carries herself, as she is beyond humble and never takes herself too seriously. She’s hysterical, zany, smart, talented, drop-dead gorgeous and just an all-around incredible human being. One of the greatest recasts in the history of television and a true professional, to boot. Our friendship means the world to me and I not only would slay dragons for her, but I would also stare at an eclipse without eye protection if she asked me to. She is everyone’s favorite person at work and I just can’t believe how lucky we were to get her 15 years ago. I am so happy I get to be her brother on the show, as it means
I get to work with her weekly! I love you, Melie, and I sure hope we can revisit the reliquary story soon, as I feel it was never truly fleshed out!”

Doug Davidson (Paul)

“Roses are red, violets are blue, Amelia is a fabulous person and an incredible actress and we are all richer having her in our lives.”

Michelle Stafford (Phyllis)

“I can’t tell you how much I love this girl! It’s probably what everyone will say about her. When she came in for her reading with the producers, I was the actor who read with her. It was a very confrontational Phyllis/ Victoria scene. Usually in an audition, an actor keeps the script in their hand just in case they get nervous and forget where they are in the scene, it’s kind of what we all do. Amelia walked in and sat down. She seemed to me to be slightly nervous. Then she said, ‘I’m just gonna get rid of my script,’ and put it down on the floor. She got rid of it! I was like, ‘Oh, damn, no … she is gonna unravel.’ It made me nervous. She killed! She didn’t forget a thing and killed the scene. It’s some- thing Victoria would have done. Obviously, she got the job. Amelia is a joy. Pure joy. A fantastic mother and woman. I love you, girl! Congratulations!”

Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren)

“Amelia is the kind of girl that makes you love her the minute you meet her. Her laugh, her giggly way, her beauty, her talent, are off-the-charts amaz- ing. She has been my dressing room neighbor across a very narrow hall for years and I love our catch-ups and our deep con- versations hanging outside our doors. You are the YOUNG AND RESTLESS treasure. Love you!”

Eileen Davidson (Ashley)

“Amelia is such a loving and kind human being. Everybody adores her and rightfully so! She’s the loveliest person. She also hap- pens to be a very funny and fabulous actress. Did I mention how gorgeous she is? She’s all these things and more! I adore her! Congrats on 15 fabulous years!”

Mark Grossman (Adam)

“Congratulations, Amelia, on 15 years as the incredible Victoria Newman. Thanks for welcom- ing both me and Adam into the Newman family.”

Melissa Ordway (Abby)

“Congratulations to one of the most beautiful people I know, on the inside and out! Amelia, you always bring a smile to everyone’s faces. So honored to play your sis- ter! Love you!”

Bryton James (Devon)

“Congratulations, Amelia! Thank you for being such a great teacher by giving life to Victoria Newman for 15 years! You never fail to bring a smile to my face and I love you for it.”

Lauralee Bell (Christine)

“I have so much respect! Her enormous talent and care for Y&R, being such a great mom, friend and for her calming nature, which is a gift to all that know her. Our texts are filled with emojis.”

Hunter King (Summer)

“Not only is Amelia an incredible actress, but she’s an incredible woman. To be in her presence is to be in great company. Every room and set Amelia walks into, she brings a light and energy that just makes everyone smile and feel at peace. I feel so lucky to work with Amelia and to call her a friend. Congratulations to Amelia for this amazing milestone! Love you to the moon, my snowman! XO, chicken (yes, I know we have weird pet names for one another).”

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea)

“Amelia is one of my favorite humans. She’s such a great actress, friend and confidante. Such a loving and caring person. Laughing with her is one of my favorite things to do at work. And splitting a bottle of wine after work. I love you, Amelia!”

Sharon Case (Sharon)

“Happy anniversary to Amelia! I love and adore her so much! A fantastic woman and actress!”

Jason Thompson (Billy)

“Amelia is like a walking light bulb, she makes the stage a brighter place. Everyone starts smiling when she’s on set. And for some reason she laughs at all your jokes, even when you know they aren’t funny. That’s a talented actor right there! I love me some Amelia.”
