DAYS Preview! Behind The Returns

The first official stories from DAYS’s new head-writing team of  Dena Higley and Ryan Quan kick off on Tuesday, September 6 with the returns of Orpheus (George DelHoyo), Clyde (James Read) and Xander (Paul Telfer), and each character is out for revenge against the people in Salem. DelHoyo, who last aired on DAYS in 1987 and whose character was presumed dead, got the “unexpected” call from his agent. “He told me, ‘DAYS OF OUR LIVES called and they would like Orpheus to come back. Would you be interested in doing it?’ I remember asking, ‘Orpheus from three decades ago? He died in 1987,’ “relays the actor. “My agent said that the show had a way around that. I thought it sounded like a fantastic idea, especially for me personally. To be able to go back to DAYS after so long, and revisit the character with some of the same people I first worked with was a fascinating experience.” Telfer notes, “I was interested in what kind of story they would tell. But they’re very tight-lipped about that sort of thing.
