Texas Battle 411

YEARS ON SHOW: 2008-present

Texas native Texas Battle didn't become a professional actor until he was an adult, but his career took off quickly. While attending the University of Texas, Battle appeared in the school's productions. After he graduated with his bachelor's degree, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting dreams.

In 2005, he guest starred on COMMITTED and ALL OF US and was in the movie Coach Carter. He also had a recurring role as ONE TREE HILL's Tony, in which his character was given the surname "Battle" in his honor. More film roles followed with Battle landing parts in Final Destination 3 in 2006 and Wrong Turn 2: Dead End in 2007.

In 2008, he joined B&B as Marcus, the long-lost son of Donna and Justin — and the first African American male to have a major storyline on the show. He was also thrown into an on-screen romance as Marcus fell for Forrester heiress, Steffy. In 2009, he earned a nomination for an NAACP Image Award.

Though Battle has been on the backburner lately, he's had plenty of other projects going. In the past year, he's appeared in three movies: Dragonball: Evolution, Boggy Creek and The Task. When the actor isn't working, he enjoys music and playing basketball.
