Baltimore native Noelle Beck was discovered while she was a junior attending a Maryland high school for the arts. A New York casting agent came to the school looking for a young man to take on a role in a Sissy Spacek movie, but was impressed by Beck. The next year, she moved to New York City and called the agent; she landed the role of LOVING's Trisha on her first audition.
Beck grew up on-screen, staying with the show from 1984 until 1993. During that time, she wed her husband, Eric Petterson, and gave birth to her two daughters, Forrest and Spencer.
After LOVING, the actress went on to star in several TV movies, including GOLDEN GATE and LOVE ON THE RUN; she also made another appearance on LOVING in 1995. The next year, she starred as Jordan in the short-lived nighttime sudser CENTRAL PARK WEST. In 1998, she gave birth to her youngest child, Brock.
Over the next decade, Beck continued to work steadily, guest-starring on many prime-time series, including SPIN CITY, SEX AND THE CITY and the LAW & ORDER shows.
2008 turned out to be an especially eventful year for Beck. In addition to playing Cilla on CASHMERE MAFIA, she was tapped to play Lily on ATWT after contract negotiations fell apart between the show and her predecessor, Martha Byrne. Though fan favorite Byrne was involved in a front-burner storyline, Beck picked right up where Byrne left off, as Lily's husband, Holden, cheated on her with Carly.

Notorious Noelle
"Trisha shows people my age that you don't have to go out and be a hell-raiser and go drinking and do drugs. You can have all the things in life that you want and still be a good person. I like being able to do that."
— On being a teenage role model on LOVING, Soap Opera Digest, 11/5/85
"To [my kids], I'm just like any other parent. My husband [Eric] and the kids recently went to Walt Disney World and while we were flying home, one of the fight attendants said, 'You're Trisha.' My kids don't get why people do that. They'll tell people, 'Her name's not Trisha, it's Noelle,' and they complain about how I embarrass them [laughs]."
— Digest, 7/29/03
"[My daughters] say, 'It's just gross to watch you kissing somebody.' Then they're like, 'What are you wearing?' when I had that black [teddy] on. One of them asked, 'Is that a dress?' And I said, 'Uh, no.' Well, at least they're watching."
