The 411

Twenty two-year-old Meredith Hagner was born in New York and raised in North Carolina. As a young girl, she always dreamed of being under the bright lights in the big city, and focused on acting and studied classical voice. She graduated high school in 2005, and after briefly attending the Boston Conservatory, packed her bags for New York City, where she picked up a waitressing job and set her sights on stardom.

Hagner has lent her voice to several radio advertisements and appeared in commercials for Radio Shack, Levi's, Subway and JC Penney. In addition, she appeared on the MTV dating show THE GAMEKILLERS. With just $10 to her name, she landed a plum role on AS THE WORLD TURNS as Janet and Jack's free-spirited daughter, Liberty Ciccone, and was nominated for an Outstanding Younger Actress Emmy in 2009.

Hagner's star is truly rising. In 2008, she played the lead role of Kim in a workshop production of Bye, Bye Birdie at the Roundabout Theater. She also landed a recurring role as Libby in the USA series ROYAL PAINS in 2009 alongside Mark Feuerstein. "It is such a blast because I've been there from the beginning, from the pilot," she tells Digest of her first prime-time part. "So it was an experience where everyone is in it. Everyone is a big team. It's a really loving, funny environment. I get to be a smart little teen in that one, which is fun."
