The daughter of a singing father and a theater-loving mother, Karla Mosley was born to perform. She was attracted to the spotlight from a very young age and even recruited her siblings (and her beloved stuffed animals) to perform in several self-directed and choreographed productions she held in her bedroom when she was growing up. She participated in several school plays and went on to study acting at New York University.
In 2003, one year before graduating, Mosley landed a plum role on a Discovery Kids TV program called HI-5 (after only her second professional audition), which filmed in Sydney, Australia. She moved abroad for the production and traveled the globe for the show's concert series. She later returned to the States, finished up her degree and started going on auditions. She has appeared in several television shows including GOSSIP GIRL, numerous commercials and was also in the Cohen brothers movie Burn After Reading, in which she shared a brief scene with George Clooney.
She joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT as Christina Moore in October 2008. In addition to acting, Mosley is a trained jazz and R&B singer and violinist. She currently performs in various Jazz clubs throughout New York City when she's not working at GUIDING LIGHT.
