Kari Wuhrer began her career as a model, which quickly led to work in commercials. She studied drama at NYU and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England with famed acting teacher Uta Hagen. Wuhrer became the hostess of the popular MTV game show REMOTE CONTROL in 1988. The actress launched a successful film career as, for the most part, the queen of B movies. She gained a cult following of sci-fi enthusiasts from her role on SLIDERS from 1997-2000. In 2002, she spoke out against breast implants, and made it public that she had her own implants removed. Wuhrer also became a staple as a frequent cover girl on sexy men's magazines FHM and Maxim. After a four-year marriage to musician Daniel Salin (1995-1999) ended in divorce, Wuhrer settled down with film producer James Scura in 2003. The couple welcomed their first child, Enzo, in January of 2004. As for joining GH in 2005, Wuhrer told Soap Opera Weekly in the 4/5 issue, "I watched it as a kid, as did everybody else. Also, the cast is the strongest. Maybe it's a little darker than other shows, but the actors are really good. I thought it would help me rise to that challenge and be a better actor."
