The 411
Los Angeles native Davida Williams grew up in the entertainment industry. Her father,David Williams, was a well-known guitarist, who backed Michael Jackson, Madonna and Mariah Carey in his career. In fact, a 4-year-old Davida traveled with him on Madonna's Blond Ambition tour in 1990.
By the time she turned 6, Williams's parents realized that their little girl was a talented actress and singer; in addition to appearing in over 30 commercials, the young star landed guest spots on popular shows including HANGIN' WITH MR. COOPER and THE SINBAD SHOW.
As she grew up, she continued to appear on prime-time series such as THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR, SISTER, SISTER and STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE. Then in 2001, she landed a recurring role as Claire on Disney's LIZZIE MCGUIRE.
Meanwhile, Williams got to show off her own musical talents as part of the girl group Tom Gurl Four (TG4). In 2002, their single Virginity was a modest hit and peaked at No. 88 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. However, the quartet disbanded shortly after and Williams focused on her acting career.
In 2004, she again worked with LIZZIE star Hilary Duff in the film Raise Your Voice. She went on to do more guest-spot gigs and starred in the short-lived series QUINTUPLETS in 2004.
Over the next few years, Williams continued to add TV appearances to her resumé while attending Mount Saint Mary's College in L.A. She was also in the movies Twisted Fortune in 2007 and Queen Of Media in 2008. Finally in late 2008, ATWT decided to recast the character of Jade, last played by Elena Goode from 2006-07. Williams was chosen to portray the bad girl ... and is now getting the opportunity to prove that she's no longer a child star.

Memorable Quote
"I love [Jade] because you never know what she's gonna do next or what she's gonna get into. It's always a surprise. I don't get the scripts that far in advance so it's always kind of interesting to see what she does next when I get the next script."
