Shenell Edmonds spent very little time in front of the camera before landing her OLTL gig. She began doing theater when she was 8 years old. Edmonds's first paid acting job was a radio commercial for Lowe's Home Improvement. When she was asked to audition for OLTL, she had never seen the soap and never imagined that she'd land a daytime gig, but had her heart set on it after visiting the studio. When she got a callback from EP Frank Valentini, she was over the moon. "I started screaming and shaking in the car and crying," she recalls. "It was amazing."
