At the Crane mansion, Pilar fretted about Juanita finding her. Pilar noted that her entire family needed to flee. Her thoughts were interrupted when Gwen came downstairs announcing that she and Ethan were renewing their wedding vows. Theresa, in Gertrude mode, sulked as she watched them together. Pilar was alarmed when Theresa shared that she and Ethan were getting close, even while she was "Gertrude." Theresa then had a fantasy about growing old alone in a wheelchair while a smug Ethan and Gwen took care of her. "Ethan and I made love all night long and he didn't even need his little blue pill!" Gwen bragged in the dream, then began messily kissing Ethan. (Okay, that was TMI!) Back in the real world, Gwen and Ethan debated about what kind of vows that should take, but both agreed to keep them dignified. Gwen suggested he invite his frat brothers, but Ethan warned that if he did, a certain sports event would end up taking place. She was annoyed when Gertrude suggested they postpone the nuptials because it was too soon after Theresa's "death." Gwen then revealed that they could have their ceremony along with Kay and Miguel and Noah and Paloma's double wedding. Ethan told Pilar to let him know if she feels it's too soon. To Theresa's horror, Pilar approved. Ethan was surprised to get Pilar's blessing. After, Theresa was furious with her mom; Pilar explained that they needed to get away from Juanita, so she was in effect trying to save Ethan. Ethan was suspicious of Pilar supporting him and Gwen. Gwen wondered if he was looking for an out in their marriage, but Ethan assured her he wasn't. Meanwhile, Juanita barked at her goon to hurry up and find Pilar. They searched Carmelita's bookstore for any tidbit of information. They found a photo of Luis wearing his Harmony PD uniform. Juanita droned on about how she intends to kill Pilar's children one by one in front of her.... Pilar explained to Theresa how she'd been using Carmelita's bookstore as a fake address, but Juanita found it and killed her friend. She told Theresa that they needed to get out of town as soon as possible to escape Juanita. Theresa didn't want to leave Ethan alone with Gwen.

At the hospital, Sam questioned Eve and Julian about Vincent being alive. Julian replied that Sheridan's story about Vincent pushing her over the falls was bogus. Eve tried a different tactic to diffuse the question and blurted out, "It's a miracle!" while breaking down in fake sobs. Eve and Julian insisted that they knew nothing about Vincent reappearing in Harmony.

Meanwhile, after stabbing Ivy with a syringe, Viki tried to drag Ivy's unconscious body down the hall. "This is what I hate about dead people. They're so unhelpful," she whined. "Valerie" eyed Viki in action and regarded her with interest. She wondered if Viki was the serial murderer and the person who killed Alistair. Esme was concerned about Viki's safety. "In this town, even the dead pop up to murder people," she sighed as she thought about Sheridan's statement against Vincent.... Alone, Eve and Julian were horrified over Vincent/Valerie's plan to kill Sheridan so they could take over her life. However, Eve didn't think either personality killed Al.... Esme searched the hospital for her niece. Viki managed to stuff Ivy into a closet just as Esme found her. Sam wondered where Ivy was, then found a trail of blood on the floor. He broke down the closet door and found Ivy's body.
