OLTL WEEK OF NOV. 16, 2009 RECAPS

Week of Monday, November 16, 2009

John-Paul Lavoisier
— ABC

Monday, November 16, 2009

Mitch gloated to John that there's no way he'll pay for Jared's death, and suggested that John will instead. "You're the reason we're here," Mitch noted, pointed out that John was so eager to believe that Jared was guilty. While it was taking the Napa Valley police an awfully long time to get to the vineyard, Mitch continued to torment John about all the "victims" in his life. John nearly blew Mitch's head off when he mentioned John's dead fiancée Caitlin, then slowly unlocked Mitch's handcuffs. When Mitch suggested that John would eventually let Natalie die, too, the cop grabbed Mitch and slammed him into a table.

Rex confronted Roxy about Corrine's claim that Mitch is his father, and when Roxy denied it, Rex showed her the birth certificate with Mitch's name on it. Rex demanded to know if the guy who "died" in the clinic was Mitch. Roxy maintained that she pulled the plug on Rex's dad and that's all Rex needs to know. But Rex couldn't let it go, pointing out that this means Jessica is his sister. Roxy apologized for keeping the truth from him, and Rex stormed out.

After receiving the devastating news that her husband died, Natalie sat with Jared and talked about the children she'd hoped they would have. Charlie came in and reminded her that Jared's gone, and held on tight to his daughter-in-law. Later, Viki assured Charlie that he's not alone, while Brody comforted Jessica, who was all too familiar with the situation. Charlie went to say good-bye to Jared and lamented that he failed his son. "If I did kill that man, then I'm capable of doing it again," he cryptically suggested.

When the news came out that Dorian lost to Viki for mayor by one vote, Starrcouldn't contain her excitement for her Aunt Viki (oops!). Amelia comforted Dorian by trying to remind her that they made history. Meanwhile, Markko looked very uncomfortable as Dorian vowed to make the one voter who cost her the race pay. Dorian began her search for the "Benedict Arnold" and started with Shaun and Destiny. Shaun reminded Dorian that Des is too young to vote, but assured his employer that he's got her back. Destiny revealed to Dorian that David's in London and is heartbroken over her marriage to Amelia. Dorian returned to her "wife" and announced that David is nursing a broken heart. Amelia wondered if this meant Dorian was London-bound. Meanwhile, Markko admitted to Langston that he was the one who didn't vote for Dorian.

After Dr. Nance told Bo that he doesn't think the surgery was a success, Bo flipped out on the surgeon and was stopped by Greg. Nora thanked Rachel for persuading Greg to come, and the doc stepped in to take a crack at Matthew's operation. Via a "microsurgical technique," Dr. Evans was able to give Matthew and his family a more hopeful prognosis. Rachel thanked Greg, who claimed that Shaun was the one who made him really want to do the surgery. Bo and Nora were by Matthew's side when he woke up from the anesthesia and were delighted to tell him that Greg believes he'll walk again. Bo and Nora checked into a hotel for some much-needed rest, and did a celebratory dance around the room. Their waltz became a sexy slow dance, and they were soon kissing, just as Nora missed a call from Clint.

Brody returned to the greenhouse just in time to stop John from making a huge mistake, and was soon followed by a revenge-seeking Charlie. Meanwhile, Natalie cleaned up Jared's wounds and rattled on about the first time they'd declared their love for each other. She admitted that she made a wish that night, that she would die before him because she knew she'd never be able to handle him dying first, then broke down in sobs. The rest of her family joined her as Jared was led away to the morgue, while Viki rushed in to the greenhouse to find Charlie throttling Mitch.
