Clint was eager to check on Jessica and Brody. He was very suspect of Brody. Clint wondered if Brody "truly cares about our daughter?" Viki told her ex-husband that Brody was the right thing for their daughter.

Clint gave Viki a goodbye hug. She promised to keep him posted on Jessica. Viki fell into Charlie's arms. He asked how things went. Viki started to tear up. "I feel responsible," she said. Viki still felt guilty for having left for Africa when Nash died. Charlie told her that what happened was sad but "you can't blame yourself. It was not your fault." Charlie reminded Viki that she was the only one who had gotten through to Jessica/Bess/Tess. Viki agreed. Charlie added that Jessica had to go through this pain. Viki felt bad that Natalie didn't have the wedding of her dreams. Charlie pulled a ring out of his pocket and showed it to her. "Marry me Viki," he said to a shocked Viki. Viki said yes.

Jessica ran when Brody tried to comfort her. She wanted to be alone. He wasn't about to budge. "Why are you here?" Jessica asked as she reminded him that Bess and Tess were a part of her and she had wanted Nash's father to shoot Brody. Jessica started weeping again. "I am so sorry that your baby died," Brody said. "I killed her," Jessica sobbed. Jessica explained that had Tess kept the doctor's appointments then maybe the baby wouldn't have died. Brody vowed to stand with Jessica as she struggled through the pain. Brody mentioned similarities between what happened with him and Shane. "I've never loved anyone the way I love you," he said as he wiped a tear from her cheek. "I'm poison," Jessica sobbed. Brody again said he wasn't going to leave her. Jessica wept uncontrollably in Brody's arms.

Bo asked John if he would be the chief of detectives. Bo assured him that they would deal with the mayor. "No sale," John said. "Once a cop, always a cop," Bo reminded him. John wasn't interested. Bo asked if he could rent out Rodi's to throw Clint a party. John asked Bo if it was tough having his brother Clint engaged to his ex-wife Nora. Bo assured him it wasn't a problem

Michael proposed to Marcie. He wanted to renew their vows "for us."

Starr told Cole that she hadn't officially signed Hope over to Marcie. Marty came into the living room and told the kids "the baby is here." Blair handed Hope to Starr. Starr gave Cole Hope to hold. He had never held a baby before. Cole thought Hope looked like Starr. Starr thought she was a mix "of all of us." Starr kept staring at the unsigned adoption agreement.

Marcie and Michael arrived to get the baby. Starr said she hadn't signed the official papers yet and seemed to be quite tortured about what to do. Cole clearly had become enamored of little Hope. Marty wanted to take a photo but Cole said no. Starr signed the papers and handed them to Marcie. Cole and Starr said goodbye to Hope. Marcie gave Starr a locket; this one had Hope's real hair. Starr wept in Blair's arms and asked Michael and Marcie to please go. Michael and Marcie left as Starr wept. Marty hugged Cole. Starr held on to Todd and Blair. Todd thought Hope had Blair's eyes. Todd hugged Blair as she began to tear up about baby Hope.

Marty went to Rodi's and fell into John's arms. "Cole really loved that little girl," she said.

Rachel was surprised that Nora hadn't told Matthew that she was marrying Clint. Rachel pointed out, "You are not sure that Clint is the Buchanan you want." Nora looked aghast at that suggestion. Nora declared out loud that she wants Clint. "That's good to hear," Clint said with a big smile as he entered the living room. Clint told a stunned Nora that he would like to get married tomorrow.
