Layla was horrified to realize she and Cris were trapped in a freezer. Layla told Cris that Oliver Fish had told her she was a fine person. "Isn't he the last guy who dumped you?" he asked. Cris laughed and said Fish was just being nice. "What do you know about being nice?" Layla wondered. Cris thought it was odd that Layla cared about his opinion of her as she hated him. Cris gave Layla his coat. "Anything to keep you from complaining," he said. Cris explained he wasn't looking for forgiveness when he went to visit Evangeline. Layla told Cris he deserved to be lonely. Layla lit matches so they could warm up. Fortunately, one of the waitresses came in and the two rushed out.

Addie told John that they were going to take Blair off the medicine that has kept her in the coma. Addie begged John to find the person who stabbed Blair. John had to remind Addie that he wasn't a cop any more. Addie was glad John and Blair were a couple. Addie was served papers on Blair's behalf.

John headed home and ran into Fish. John told him that he was quietly investigating the murders. Fish said he was back on the force. John asked Fish to help him look at the evidence from the Lee Halpren murder site; he just needed the list of what was collected. Fish asked John if he thought there was a serial stabber. John thought the killer was leaving them a message. Fish dropped off a folder full of photocopies of the evidence. John was very grateful.

Tea agreed to represent Cole. Marty asked Todd to tell her what he said to Cole the night of the accident. Tea was surprised that Marty had called "Todd's former lawyer" as Tea described herself. Marty told Tea about Matthew's paralysis; she added that Cole is 18 and could be tried as an adult. "Why me?" Tea asked. Marty wanted the person who could get Todd off to "save my son." Tea reminded her that she'd have to pull out the heavy artillery and then agreed to take the case. Marty got a call from John. He asked her to come over to his place. "It's important," he said. Marty knocked on John's door and asked about Blair. She was better he said. John asked Marty how she was doing. John had a question about Lee Halprin. John showed Marty a photo of Lee's ear. Marty didn't remember Lee wearing a third earring. Marty demanded he tell her what was going on. John showed Marty all the letters that were left at the various crime scenes. The letters were KAD. "That's the name of the fraternity house where I was raped," an alarmed Marty revealed.

Tea asked for the evidence folder from the night of Cole's accident.

Todd's new lawyer Morgan was happy to tell him he would soon be a free man. Todd asked Morgan to help him win custody of his kids. The attorney pointed out that the restraining order had expired, "but I'd hold off if I were you." Morgan said they would surprise the family and sue for custody. Todd wondered what his former lawyer would think of this plan.

Rex and Gigi met up in the hospital chapel. Gigi worried that they might not find a donor for Shane soon. Rex tried to assure her that they'd find a donor. Rex admitted she was trying to get a han dle on "this prayer thing." Rex told Gigi they needed to stay positive, said he was starting to believe in miracles and reminded her that the fact he found her after 10 years was a miracle. "That reason is our son," he added. "We have to believe, Gigi," Rex said earnestly. Gigi was clearly distraught. She wondered why God would give a good kid like Shane leukemia. Gigi wished she was the one who had leukemia. Gigi began to cry and Rex held on to her. Gigi told God that she needed Him. Stacy listened outside the chapel. "I'll do anything," Gigi said. "Good news Gigi," Stacy said. "There's a bone marrow match for Shane," Stacy said. Gigi began to cry tears of joy. "It's me," Stacy smiled.

Stacy told Roxy she knows who John Doe really was. Roxy stared at her, horrified. Stacy said that she knows John Doe is in room 302. "I followed you into the room," Stacy explained. "So then you know," Roxy said. "Oh yeah, Roxy, I know," Stacy replied. Stacy said she had no problem telling Rex who his father was. Roxy pulled Stacy back. Stacy admitted that she had loved Rex long before Gigi met him. "You set me up," Roxy said as the women started to fight. "Rex cannot find out. It will kill him to know that monster's blood was flowing through his veins," Roxy said. Roxy realized she would have to tell Rex the truth. Stacy thought Rex would hate Roxy for the rest of her life. Stacy said she wouldn't tell him. "Do exactly as I say," she ordered.

Rex ran into Roxy. "There's a match," she told her son.
