Ed told Alan that Phillip is indeed dying and encouraged Spaulding to be there for his son because he's scared. Alan refused to comfort Phil, continuing his claim that Phil's being selfish.

James and Daisy met up for a minute outside Company for a smooch and a mini flirtation session. Daisy pointed out that the family is in danger of losing the restaurant due to financial issues. Meanwhile, Ashlee read Coop's manuscript and was amazed. She was thrilled that it's good enough to bring in funds for the Coopers that will likely help them keep Company. Later, Blake called Cyrus, who was still on the bus with Buzz headed to NYC, to inform him that the book is great and will be a huge hit.

Mallet surprised Marina with a huge R.V., saying they need to take a long family vacation to take their minds off of all the pain they've been through the last few months, and expressed his desire to make up for what he did to her. Marina wasn't so sure it's the right time for a trip, saying she needs to be there to keep Company afloat while Buzz is out of town. Mallet was bummed but they agreed to postpone their vacation. Later, Marina caught Christina up on her situation with Mallet and her inability to forgive him for accusing her. Mallet, meanwhile, went to work at Company during his vacation. He asked Frank about Buzz. Frank was miffed that Buzz left town ad is hanging out with a criminal.

On the bus, Buzz was sleeping when he had a vision of Jenna. They caught up about Coop's book, shared a passionate kiss and she disappeared. Buzz woke up with a start and saw Cyrus across the aisle. Later, Cyrus also had a vision of Jenna, who asked him if he's found what he's looking for. Cyrus explained that he's learned a lot about Jenna in the last few days. She advised him to keep looking.

Shayne continued to help with the construction on Bill and Lizzie's house. He got into an argument with the crew foreman. Remy tried to break it up and asked his pal Shayne to come blow off some steam with him at the park. He was struck by Shayne's temper and bad attitude. They headed to the park to toss a football around. Shayne got angry when Remy brought up Dinah. Remy was shocked and said he's just trying to help. Shayne apologized for overreacting.

Alan visited Phillip's headstone alone. He gave a heartfelt monologue and apologized for ruining things between them, adding that he loves him and never intended to turn into the man he became. Then he said he can't let himself think about Phil's illness as a reality because the pain is too overwhelming and he doesn't think he can handle the thought of losing Phil again. Alan was surprised when James suddenly appeared and asked him what he was doing. Alan asked James to promise not to ever leave him and urged him to reach his full potential as the next heir to the Spaulding empire, adding that James is much smarter than Phil. James said he does want to be a good man in life and would like to carry on Alan's legacy. Alan was pleased.

After arriving in New York, Buzz and Cyrus went to Jenna's old place. They were surprised she'd stay in such a rundown hotel but searched her old room anyway. Cyrus found a series of numbers scratched into the window sill, 5-11-01. They surmised it's the lock combination to a locker at the train station and rushed out to go there.

Blake ran into Alan at the Quickmart and chided him for trying to turn James into him, just like he tried to do with Phil years ago. Shayne bumped into Alan, too, and they traded barbs. Alan rubbed in Shayne's recent misfortunes with Dinah and said he should've known better.

At the Cooper house, Daisy and Ashlee were making meatloaf for Company because the oven at the restaurant is still busted. James came by to say they can't hang out later because Alan needs him and he caught him crying at the graveyard. She surmised that Alan is just trying to manipulate James and doesn't want them to be together. James left, saying he needs to make sure Alan is okay.

Back at Company, Frank told Blake he's stressing out about his family and feels like his life is falling apart... Remy paid Mallet a visit at the PD and said that Shayne is not dealing with Dinah's departure well. Remy blamed Mallet for it. Meanwhile, Shayne went to Farley's and nearly got into a fight with a guy who was in his seat at the bar.
