It's the day of Shayne and Dinah's wedding. Billy went to pick up Reva, who told herself she's putting on a convincing show by acting happy for the sake of the family. Lizzie and Bill rushed to get ready; Mallet and Marina vowed to make a fresh start and stay honest with each other as they prepared to go to the ceremony. Mallet fished around to see if Marina would explain the trust he found for Henry, but she didn't. Meanwhile, at the gazebo, Shayne greeted his bride with a small bouquet of flowers. She thanked him and joked when she saw the carnations. "I think I'm allergic to those." They both appeared nervous but held hands and walked to their wedding together. "I'm ready to land somewhere and be loved and appreciated," Dinah smiled. She was surprised when Shayne admitted he can't wait to have kids.

On their road trip, Alan and Phillip drove to a diner for breakfast. Over pancakes and coffee, Alan called Phil out again for having a secret plan. Phil admitted that he does and that the real reason he brought Alan on the trip (and to the diner) is to visit the widow of the man who went to Vietnam in his place all those years ago. Then he explained that the man's family owns the restaurant and hopes Alan will be able to find closure by meeting them. Alan was shocked and angry. He stepped outside. Phil urged him to greet the man's widow and apologize for his actions, recognizing that it will be difficult but that it's necessary.

Back in Springfield, everyone gathered at the courthouse. Mallet groused to Remy about Marina's lack of honesty. Dinah and Shayne arrived and everyone went inside to start the ceremony. Dinah stressed when she realized she didn't have anyone to walk her down the aisle so Remy volunteered to do it. Bill and Lizzie showed up late. Lizzie was happy for Dinah. "She's living proof that anyone can make up for past sins," she added. Doris began the ceremony and the couple said their heartfelt vows. Shayne pointed out that Dinah's trust and honesty means everything to him. She became emotional and thanked him for loving her for who she is. They exchanged rings and Doris pronounced them man and wife. They happily kissed and the guests cheered. Everyone headed to Towers for the reception. Bill gave a toast. Meanwhile, Mallet pulled Remy aside and said he's giving Marina one more chance to tell the truth or he's going to take action. Then Mallet told Marina to step outside with him and confronted her about the trust. Marina fumbled to explain why she hid it from him and was shocked that he continues not to trust her. They argued and Marina blasted him for thinking she's lying and stormed off. Remy approached Mallet, who admitted he's going to have to turn Marina in because things are getting worse. A stunned Dinah overheard, unnoticed.

At their hotel, Alan admitted to Phillip that he didn't return to the restaurant to face his past because he's afraid. Later, Alan went back, ordered a cup of coffee and saw a medal of honor on a shelf. Joanne approached and told Alan that it's her husband's and pointed out her son, Charlie. "It's a great thing when a son can be proud of his father," she smiled. Alan took a deep breath and reluctantly introduced himself to Charlie, adding that he knew his father.

Dinah approached Mallet about the Marina situation and urged him not to turn in his wife. "She did not kill John Doe. I did. I did it!" she declared.
