Natalia impatiently waited for her pregnancy test results and said a quick prayer. Meanwhile, downstairs, Olivia and Emma made cookies for the Bauer barbecue. Emma was excited; Liv said it would be the best barbecue they've been to yet. Emma went to go check on Nat in the restroom and wondered what She was doing. Liv also approached to make sure Nat isn't too ill. She tossed the test in her purse and assured them she's fine. They went to the kitchen and Olivia told Nat how happy and excited she is to tell Emma the truth tomorrow and "come out" together at the barbecue. After Olivia left, Nat looked at her pregnancy test results.

At Company, Buzz was angry that his oven is still on the fritz and pointed out to Alan that Rick is depending on him for half of the menu for the barbecue. Spaulding proceeded to lecture Buzz about focusing on himself and stop worrying so much about others. Buzz just started yelling at his old oven again. Later, Reva stopped by with her famous bean casserole and regretfully told Buzz she's just not up to attending the barbecue this year. When Josh came by, he was surprised to learn that Reva's not coming. Then a delivery guy entered with a new stove for Buzz, who was surprised that an anonymous donor had purchased it for him. He recruited Frank to help solve the oven mystery and picked up the unopened package for Coop, wondering if there is a connection.

Josh approached Reva and suggested she attend the barbecue. "Oh yeah? I think you should jump off a cliff," she spat, still angry that he's basically stalking her. Then she said she's going to the baseball game with Hawk and Colin instead. They bickered and Reva blamed Josh for Jeffrey's disappearance. Josh reminded her (yet again) that they're both just trying their best to protect her and Colin. Reva goaded Josh into apologizing to her for butting into her life.

James was brought into the Springfield PD for a DUI. Frank asked him who he'd like to call. James said Daisy. "That's not going to happen," Frank declared. So, he called Phillip with the news. Phil came to bail out his son and lectured him about communicating and being responsible. James continued to be a brat. Phil decided against punishing his son (and giving him the attention that he wants) and simply told James that he loves him. Phil was finally getting through to James by suggesting they do things together, like go to the barbecue, to help rebuild their relationship when Alan suddenly appeared and told James he paid his bail and got the arrest erased from his record. Phil was miffed that Alan interrupted his close moment with his son. Alan then took off with James and urged Phil to forget the whole thing. Later, Beth arrived. Phil told her how disappointed he is that Alan ruined things for him and James. Then he vowed not to let his father/son relationship turn into the one he has with Alan.

Olivia stopped by Company. Buzz noticed how happy she looks. Doris approached and was surprised to hear that Nat and Liv were going to the barbecue together. Doris wondered if she could have her own life out in the open someday. Liv said she feels like anything's possible when she's with Nat. Meanwhile, Blake ran into Nat, who admitted that she's pregnant with Frank's baby and doesn't know what to do.

Back at the mansion, Alan invited James to accompany him on an island vacation instead of going to the barbecue. He agreed to go and informed Beth, who was livid, but told Phil he has plenty of time to work things out with James when he gets back. "This summer may be all the time I have left," Phil said.

Blake took Nat to Cedars, where a nurse later congratulated Nat, confirmed the pregnancy and said she's several months along. Nat was upset at herself for not noticing. Blake promised to support her in whatever she decides. Nat phoned Liv and said she can't meet up before the barbecue anymore. Liv was understanding and said they'd just tell Emma afterward, then she told Nat that she loves her. Nat tearfully hung up and braced herself for her next move.
