After Phillip came home thanks to the governor's pardon, Alan caught him up on the Olivia/Natalia scandal, noting that he could have used it to his advantage with Emma. Phillip announced that he was done playing games with his kids. Meanwhile, Lizzie did not want to go to the dinner at Towers that Beth was planning for Phillip. Bill insisted that they attend together and promised they'd sit so close that no one else would hear what they were whispering. Beth, Alan and Phillip headed to the restaurant while Lizzie stayed behind to get ready. When Bill walked in on Lizzie with her dress unzipped, she suggested they speed things up a little in their dating game. Bill refused to give in to her seduction.

Daisy went to retrieve her phone from James's room and ran into the half-dressed hottie. Amy came in and asked James to get rid of "the maid." Daisy pretended to be his girlfriend and concocted a story about how they've been dating for months behind his family's back. Amy believed her, and suggested to James that they see other people. As it turned out, James had been trying to get rid of the girl for months, and Daisy successfully did it for him. He tried to thank her with a kiss, but Daisy backed away and argued that he's not her type. He invited her to dinner with his family ... at Towers. Daisy panicked upon realizing that James is from Springfield and ran off. When she came back later to tell him that she changed her mind, he was already gone.

After arguing with Remy, Christina ran into Lillian at the hospital and explained that Johns Hopkins withdrew her acceptance and she served Remy with divorce papers. Lillian wondered if Christina really wanted to divorce Remy, but Christina was upset that marrying Remy ruined her dreams. Lillian told her that love is the only dream that counts, and with that, she'll figure the rest out. Meanwhile, Mel took her time looking over the divorce papers and reminded Remy that Christina is in love with him. She insisted that they meet Christina at the courthouse, where she later explained to the duo that once these papers are signed, it's final. Remy angrily signed the papers, claiming that he doesn't want to live a lie anymore, and so did Christina. Afterward, Remy walked her home and told her that of all the screw-ups in his life, their marriage was the most fun. They wished each other luck, and Remy suggested they share a good-bye kiss. He leaned in, and one kiss led to much more! After making love, they agreed to stop talking about marriage and divorce and just date. But he asked if he would be a constant reminder of the dream she lost. Echoing Lillian's advice, she explained that there are some dreams you don't even know you want until you got them. "What if we're the dream?" she asked; he answered with a kiss.

Phillip was thrilled that Rick came to his dinner at Towers. Alan ordered scotch after scotch and made a few snide comments about the return of "the prodigal son" as more guests arrived. When Lizzie and Bill hadn't shown up yet, Phillip went outside and found them in the parking lot. He pulled Lizzie aside and explained that he was only trying to protect her years ago, but Lizzie wasn't willing to accept an apology just yet. Inside, James arrived and greeted his "granddad" Alan.
